I highly recommend Thank You...!!
The "Zeolla" approach is the only way to understand health. The path starts with our Bible. Second, our own experience with ourself and our patients is generally reliable. Lastly, professional journals of "scientific" experiments can be of some help. My chemistry training reached the PhD program where I learned printed "research" is often wrong.
My first mentor was Dr Robert Mendelsohn, Confessions of a Medical Heretic he understood we have a maker. All good physicians listen well and watch well. Experience sees what works. Too many times I have seen books and Journals claim what we in practice see is not true. Dr Franklin Ed Payne said in a great book on medical research Biblical/Medical Ethics: The Christian and the Practice of Medicine, 80 percent of all medical journal papers are flawed by a false premise or a misunderstanding of statistical analysis.
I've read the Bible cover-to-cover 7 times. Gary does not twist our Bible to say what it does not say. i.e., He acurately uses "delicacies" (whicn means: pleasing delicate processed food) not "meats" for the Hebrew word in Daniel 1:8. I've read it all on my Kindle, but also ordered the book to have as a reference.
From reading his newsletter and now reading God-given Foods Eating Plan: For Lifelong Health, Optimization of Hormones, Improved Athletic Performance, it is clear Gary is serious about everything he does. He lost six years of his life because he did much of what YOU are doing NOW. Visit a nursing home to see where you will waste the last six years of your life, or read and follow what his book documents. Please! Dr Don.
The only books I read are nutrition books, and I have been reading them for the past 14 years. This book covers everything I have ever learned, but it also covers so many things that I didn't know, and I thought that I knew a lot. It is also very easy to read and understand, not only because of the author's personable writing style, but also in the way the paragraphs are broken up onto two sides of each page.
The most enlightening part of the book was on page 96, where it explains why cows are vegetarians. I always thought that advocates of vegetarianism had validity to their argument (cows only eat grains, and look at how healthy they are). But now I know that they eat that way because God designed them not to eat meat, so that they would be fit for us to eat. This information has increased my belief that there is a God!
