Goddess Rising is one of those rare books that not only provides the reader with a good story, but also brings greater understanding and a level of higher-consciousness to ones own self and soul purpose. As I was reading this book I found myself connecting with Greer on a multi-tude of levels and found her story to be my story, as well as every other womans story who finds herself standing at the edge of a path leading towards awakening. Greer is truly Everywoman.
The deeper I got into the book the harder it became for me to discern the past from the future. But then as Sir Arthur Wing Pinero stated; "I believe the future is only the past again, entered through another gate"
This book is definately worth the read, and I would invite anyone who does, and has questions remaining as I surely do, to write me, as I am more than willing to engage in a discussion about this work.
Goddess Rising is ultimately a feminist stance on the Garden of Eden, as Bowersock recreates religion by resetting the world back to basics. To be at one with nature and have an entirely open mind is the ideal and every individual character is valued for the skill that they bring to the community. The reader is taken on the heroine's journey, learning about the world as she does and Bowersock certainly has a knack for creating a believable fantasy. Through the trials and tribulations of our heroine, Greer, you cannot help but make comparisons with the real world. Overall this book is ideal for anyone searching for an insight into a world run by women.

Rising touched chords within and got me thinking about many things. I didn't expect so much! Even if it hadn't augmented my personal journey, I'd enjoy it for the action, detailed geology, the challenges, (s)heroism, the inclusive cast of characters, and the respectful handling of life in general. Have a sit, read Goddess Rising, those who do are again blessed.
