I wasn't sure I would like this story but I found myself mesmerizing by the characters and the storyline. I love the flow and my interest soared with each page. Reading Geweys adventure with Lee and the elves is fascinating. Page by page kept me wanting more. Books one through three are a great read. Wars fought, people brought together under a common problem and love found and kept. I love this series. I will continue to read the next installment, and can hardly wait to see what happens next.

Had a bit of a problem with pronouncing the name of the main character: Geway. I kept reading It as 'Gooway', which sounded ridiculous. I struggled and forced myself to pronounce it as "G'way" with a 'G' as in the Arthurian Guaine. Nevertheless I enjoyed the story with the exception of the soon predictable plot device, used far too often, where Geway gets deceived, by a woman, into separating from his group of protective travelers, and immediately gets into trouble; needing frequent rescuing. It's not easy being a young, largely-innocent, earth-bound god in a mortal body. Nevertheless, I loved his traveling companions, the vivid description of their journey, and the cliff-hanger ending of this first book of the trilogy. I'm looking forward to starting Book 2.

Everything is SO awesome that it's really amazing in the way it comes together. Even when it wonders off to what others are doing it blends together the way it should. Nothing is out of step with anything else. It's the way things should go seamlessly. Surprising and a very enjoyable read I am so looking forward to the 4th installment. NOT to be Missed!

I loved the writer's development of all the characters. Well done story and well written.

Best part of this, is that the The Godling Chronicles came in a Books 1-3 Bundle. Unfortunately (or Fortunately), the series has not remotely concluded and should have many more books coming. Hopefully, the author will continue to write with the same effort as the original 3 books in this series.

Although at first, it was a little heavy handed, the story just better and better. I found myself wanting to read whenever I could. I laughed along with Millet and Maybell's bits, which reminded me of a number of older couples I know. Anderson and his son have created a wonderful tale and a set of characters worth rooting for.

A compelling story from beginning to end. I did not find it too predictable which kept me reading and enjoying. I also appreciated it being a well paced, clean story. So much current fiction gets drowned in smutty side stories and misses the beauty of crafting a lovely tale. Well done.

So far, I've completed 1.5 of the books. Clearly, that indicates that it's readable material.

The main characters are interesting, but unbelievably clichéd. The writing for each character varies from good to unbelievable drab and predictable.

I find myself skipping entire pages of detail, that are of no use to the story. While the author can set the scene and drive the plot along, the page after page of description is monotonous. Taking 1.5 pages to describe the front of a house and the foyer? No thank you. similarly, some of the writing is patronizing, describing how the character donned is cloak after awaking! Well, I would sincerely hope he got dressed, else that could lead to more problems than not.

There are many other complaints (ie: it takes forever for the plot to develop, and for the reader to begin to care about the protagonists/their cause), but the core story is enjoyable and worth the read.

I would recommend it for anyone who likes fantasy. Very solid plot that is easy to follow and characters that are nicely developed.

The book was very interesting but it ended when it got interesting and I am to old to be interested in buying the rest plus if ì buy the next book I my die as I am dyslexic and find it difficult to read a book especially when it takes me a month or more to read a normal novel .I am almost blind as well so it is pointless paying 3or4 gbp for a single book and on that note I say good buy but no thanks.

I struggled to finish these books. Although the story line is interesting, the characters and writing is not. I really wanted these books to be better, but alas, it was not to be. 3 stars is generous.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Characters shame about the pacing
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on November 26, 2019
I was very split between giving this either a three or four star rating, but because of the characters, which are all likeable and engaging, decided to be generous in the end and go with a four.
While the premise of the story is interesting and the characters are well written the pace of the story is more a kin to a slowly smouldering fire. There are moments when you think it’s going to set alight, but it never quite happens.
The fight and battle sequences are quite basically written and are no more enthralling than the rest of the story.
In short, this is a book you can read a chapter of and then put it down without any compulsion to just read another page.
However, the ending of book three does set up the possibility that book four could be more interesting, so I might read it.
