These are 14 long novellas or short books, having many things in common. In general this is an anthology for the young female teenager who likes clean romantic stories masquerading as paranormal thrillers. Although written by different authors, practically all are following the same prescription. A young girl/woman (15-23) with a dark tragedy in her life (abandoned by a parent, lost a parent in a mysterious accident, never knew who her parent/s was/were, etc...) is resigned to being different. This usually means no friends, weird friends, paranormal friends, or any combination thereof. The heroine also appears not to have the usual requirements for popularity with her age-group males and/or females. This includes being poorly endowed in the mammary department, not dressing to kill or flirt, not flirting, not gossiping and reading math textbooks or Jane Austen. Moreover, the heroine has already discovered, or is about to discover her paranormal talents that vary from clairvoyance and telekinesis to talking with animals, trolls, vampires, or any other para-vermin. Each is drawn into blood-curdling life and spirit threatening situations, from which they manage to escape, usually with the help of opportune handsome paranormal hunk. Ther first novel is sticky sweet to a point of slight nausea. Only one of the stories captured my imagination to the degree requiring to read it from the beginning to the end. This was "I Bring the Fire" by C. Gockel. It is written with enough humor and zest to satisfy my taste. Besides, it describes the Norse deities as super-human but not quite divine. This story alone would get from me 3.5 stars, but...Read more ›

I have read several stories in this collection, and I love them! The ones I've read have all contained strong heroines, in-depth plot and character development, and swoon-worthy alphas. The plots range from and involve everything from werewolf shifters to demons, trolls to witches, and Norse gods to telepaths. You won't be disappointed, and you certainly won't be bored. Enjoy!

Downloaded this collection before my vacation in case I finished the other books. It was more as a last resort kind of thing. Not only have I read every story from front to back but there wasn't one (not one!) novel in this entire bundle that didn't captivate me. I loved it. Whoever chose the books to be in this collection did a great job. It's a shame if you don't give it a shot. I certainly had no intention of reading them all but I couldn't put it down. The best collection of books I've ever read. Thank you!

I want to say upfront that I have not read all the books in this bundle yet. The ones I haven't read are on my TBR list, and I actually already have them on my kindle; I just need to find the time to read them. Hope(less) by Melissa Haag - one of my all-time favorite books that I have read again and again! This is a unique and clever story, and I can't get enough of Gabby and Clay. Relentless by Karen Lynch - a fabulous adventure that caught my attention from page one! It is fast-paced, has a lot of amazing creatures, and kept me on the edge of my seat. Elsker by S. T. Bende - a book I finished recently and really enjoyed reading! I am looking forward to reading more about Ull and Kristia. Runes by Ednah Walters I finished about a month ago and fell in love with! I can't wait to get back to Torin and Raine. This is a great bundle, well worth it!

This is a very varied collection, some of these books I've read like Hope(less) by Melissa Haag some of them I've never seen before but want to read like Elsker by S.T. Bende.
Collections like this have slowly lost their appeal for me since it's usually the same books by the same authors collected together under a different title and a different cover, they're generally first in series books which are free anyway and more often than not cliffhangers which work out expensive to continue and while yes, a lot of the books in this collection are cliffhangers or to be continued its nice to see different books and different authors and not all of them are first in series, not all of them are free and not all of them are cliffhangers so all in all not a bad collection and if nothing else it's brought books to my attention which I would otherwise have missed.
