Going local in Gran Canaria makes for an entertaining and pleasant read and the author did a good job at describing the places covered in the book.
I think it's a must buy for anybody who's interested on learning more about Gran Canaria than what Wikipedia has to offer.
I never knew much about Gran Canaria and never had a real desire to go before reading this book, but the honest reviews, and the feeling like you are talking to a friend (versus reading an emotionless guidebook) are what makes this guide so great. And this is coming from someone who is not a fan of guidebooks. I love this book and hope to see more guides written like this in the near future.
