The twists in the story were amazing! Romance....intrigue...a little sex...all in here. This book will have you laughing and crying as you read.
The man demanded this because a woman in his past "spurned" him (due to his part Native American heritage), and of course he was eternally and irreparably damaged by the rejection. Delightful concept, right? Good beginning for a romance, right? Not! That sordid beginning and plot line relentlessly held on to the last ten pages of the book. By that time I didn't give a hoot about what happened to those people - except for feeling pity for the resultant child.
Maybe a rewarding mini-series or soap opera plot for folks who need to be fed constant angst and childish drama, but not so good for a romance. Beware: not a feel good story.
