The book and series end on a high note, and you feel that the family ties and friendships that have been forged throughout the series will continue, and it's sad to say goodbye. Of course, we now know that that it is not really the end, and that the Kilenya and Katon University books (retitled the Mosaic series) will merge starting with the six Mosaic book.
I want to publicly thank Mrs. Pearson for the best reading experience I've had in years reading these books. For those who love clean children's and young adult classic fantasy: Narnia, Earthsea, Lord of the Rings, Prydain, etc, this is as good as it gets! Your time here will truly be worth it.
This sixth book in the Kilenya series and we find our heroes still struggling to prepare for an incredible war with Keitus and his minions. It will be a war against almost hopeless odds but one that is to be won or have three worlds perish under the evil of Keitus. The way it is now is equally filled with courage on many fronts and till the end pulsating action and nerve wracking twists guarantee the reader with such great story telling that you will regret that it ever had to end.
No spoilers for you, though . Enjoy this final book in the Kilenya series. I did.
I read this book in the box set series of books four through six.
Since book 2 (or maybe even back in book 1), we’ve known that war was coming. And while there have been a number of skirmishes I each book, the big war finally occurs in this story. Jacob combines the use of his many magical abilities, but this is definitely not a one-person war from the good-guys side. So many of the characters contribute abilities, expertise, and creative thinking in attempting to defeat the overwhelming forces on the bad-guys side.
I sighed in contentment at the end. The only reason I didn’t pout in disappointment (that the series was over) is because I know several of the characters show up again later in the Mosaic Chronicles. ~lol~
