Anyone interested in breeding goldfish will find all the detail they need. The genetics sections may be a little too detailed for the amateur, but that is the chosen field of study of one of the co-authors Joseph Smartt.
I consider myself an expert, but still found priceless snippets of information throughout the book.
I would have liked some information on expected growth rates as most other goldfish publications also seem to avoid giving any indicative figures.
A little lacking in details regarding the how-tos: How to set up a breeding environment, for example. I would have preferred more in-depth info than what was given.
Nevertheless, this book is worth getting, just be prepared to supplement it with other books.
