Gone to Die is the third book in Stacy Green's Lucy Kendall series. I have said it before and I will say it again, Stacy Green knows how to write and these books reflect it with well developed, compelling, complex characters and a plot that will keep you on your toes the entire time you are reading. The stories pulls you in deep from the beginning and keep you there all the way through to the end and after each book all you can think is "I want more"!
These are physiological thrillers and more! They are not for the faint of heart! In Gone to Die we are given an in depth look not only into Lucy but into the dark and manipulative mind of a sociopath. A sociopath that gets her kicks out of torturing and killing.
Lucy is left reeling after the events in See Them Die and is examining herself, her actions and who she is becoming. She can no longer hide from what she is and her ability to justify to herself what she has done no longer eases her mind. After killing two people she hadn't set out to kill, killing them to save herself and keep her secrets, she starts making comparison to herself and the sociopath she calls Mother Mary.
Chris has tired of waiting on Lucy to go after his mother and decides to do it himself but after leaving a startling voicemail for her he disappears and Lucy knows that Mother Mary has him. Lucy is joined by Todd, Chris's Uncle, Kelly and the FBI in the race to find him before Mary kills him....or worse. But following Mary's trail leads Lucy down another path as she discovers secrets, lies and more truths about herself.
Questions are answered but new ones asked leaving room for more Lucy!
Absolutely fantastic read! Thank you Stacy Green!
