Data and marketing consultant and statistical sage to presidential candidates, governors, businesses, and the real powers-that-be, epidemiologists, Justin Hart catalogs in a terrifying-but-sprightly manner the folly and psychosis produced by the pandemic and diagnoses the societal destruction that the massive overresponse to the COVID virus has wreaked, as well as what can be done to stop the madness and bring the world back to a modicum of rationality.

WORST. DISEASE. EVER.

Someone broke America. In this nightmare, neighbors have turned into agoraphobes, teachers fear their students, children are muzzled, citizens are censored, dystopian fictions have become reality, and unelected officials are creating a biometric police state. Oh wait. It’s not a nightmare. It’s our daily lives!

In truth, much of this insanity didn’t
start with the coronavirus pandemic (it was already latent in big government and big corporations) and it won’t end there. COVID-19’s greatest threat turned out to be . . . mental. All we had to fear was fear itself—and boy did some of us fear! The very idea of the virus weakened the immune system of America and revealed a decaying underbelly of confusion, panic, unease, and cowardice few of the strong ones suspected existed. What a horrible wake-up call!

In a spate of anxious dread and gleeful power-grabbing, our health overlords threw away the pandemic response handbook and tried—beyond all reason—to protect, well,
everyone. From massive over-testing to universal retail plexiglass to stay-at-home orders to stay-away-from-school orders to masking mandates to vaccine mandates to some of the worst restrictions on civil liberties in American history, this is an epic story that poses big questions about America’s future as a free society.

And the odd thing is, as Justin Hart shows, the actual disease was, as pandemics go, not that threatening; most people were at minimal risk. What
is really scary is the total overreaction of half the country, many governments, that lost all sense of perspective. Hart offers a hopeful prescription on how we might face the madness down and claw our way back to sanity!

This book is a must read. It goes into depth about the pandemic and how we were lied to. If you want to know the truth get this book.

Justin Hart has been charting and analyzing COVID data since March 2020, and if you've ever thought that the world's response to the virus actually made things worse, you owe it to yourself to read Hart's accessible book covering the junk science used to justify the interventions, the social contagion that enabled the interventions, the damage that was done to our children, and the powers seized by governments under the guise of a long-term state of emergency. The book will take you through events you may have forgotten or missed and will leave you shaking your head at our folly.

From the start even Fauci said that asymptomatic carriers do not determine spread yet that's not what happened. The material makes it clear the lockdown's were politically motivated, the mandates were politically motivated and today some businesses are still foolishly requiring masks. Together with the book Viral The Search for the Origin of COVID-19 we get the complete story. Politicians (mostly democrats) and scientist knew the truth and decisions made (banning HCQ, placing patients in nursing homes, forcing vaccinations) were responsible for the deaths of MILLIONS across the planet.

Justin Hart has written an excellent record and postmortem of COVID1984. From the masks and distancing to lockdowns and the vax, it's all in there. He shows how ALL of it was un-scientific and nuts! Gone Viral is super short and concise making for a quick read! And with excellent footnotes and sources. Reading through the book brought back horrific flashbacks of the dystopian horror we lived through. It's important this information is published in physical books because everything digital is being memory-holed. Pick up a physical copy of Gone Viral!

This may be the most enlightening book you will ever read about the era of COVID-19. Justin truly brings the voice of common sense and reason to the oft polarizing topics related to COVID-19 - and more particularly the various (often irrational) government responses to it. Historians of the future will no-doubt use this book as a resource when researching this bizarre and difficult time.

Justin has been covering the pandemic response with his Covid Reason army for quite a while. While I strongly agree with most of his viewpoints and support his approach, I got the book to see where he goes in a more lengthy discussion. The answer - everywhere! He covers just about all of the issues and angles of the pandemic. If you want a cursory review of many pandemic issues, this is the book. However, I have to say that there is a lack of depth in his discussion, and I would not describe the book as "hard-hitting" - leaves the more inciteful analysis to others

Melody
2.0 out of 5 stars Most of the outrage expressed in this book is obsolete, because it is now so common
Reviewed in Canada on November 16, 2022
I was disappointed in this book, because it is a rough collection of complaints about the antiCOVID lockdowns and masking mandates ( which is that they were close to futile at stopping the spread of the coronavirus, and falsely justified by government and media spokespeople on the basis of misconceptions, distortions of the facts, and often outright lies). These complaints are all but obsolete, as in Canada we have long since dropped mandated lockdowns, business closures, school closures and masking mandates. Complaining about them now, after the fact, is to cite what has become (almost) common knowledge.

What is missing is any serious discussion of the overselling and mandating of antiCOVID vaccines. In fact, Justin Hart touches only briefly on the aggressive promotion of the vaccines as the magic tools that would end the pandemic. Since this is my greatest current source of COVID hysteria outrage, I was disappointed in the lack of sceptical inquiry about the true safety and effectiveness of the vaccines.

Hart is a good writer, but the sense you get when you read most of it is that it is an unedited first draft. It's as if he wrote it in five days, and rushed it to a publisher while the issues in it were still of concern to prospective readers.

Used to strengthen our/my knowledge of the harms done to us, incompetence is not so organized as to coordinate such egregious methods, in 190 countries over night.
It took planning.
But, they didn't expect such push back.
They are afraid.
Now is the most dangerous time for our freedoms and the West's democracy, which is hated by these marxists, they'll burn the world for their ideology, and every innocent on it.
