This book changed my life! It empowered me with truth and God's Word to leave an emotionally and verbally abusive marriage that I felt stuck in as a Christian woman. I always believed in my heart that God did not want me suffering like I was, married to someone who claimed to be a Christian but was broken and would not submit to the Lordship of Christ. Everyone in the Church just gave the advice to pray more or pray differently, which made me feel like I wasn't trying hard enough and that things would turn around if I did.
Lysa's book helped me realize my own dysfunction that was keeping me in the toxic cycle and freed me with a correct reading of scripture related to abuse. I highly recommend this book and thank God for inspiring Lysa to write it!
