About the Author
Growing up every summer in a place where dancing and romancing are literally part of its theme song, Liz Kelly can't help but be a romantic at heart. And since her favorite author, Kathleen E. Woodiwiss wrote some of the world's greatest romances, she's just trying to give the world a little more of that. (Okay, maybe a little sexier that, but we are now in a new millennium after all.) A graduate of Wake Forest University, where she met her handsome golf-addicted husband, (who is now sporting dark glasses everywhere he goes) Liz is a mother of two grown sons (also sporting dark glasses) and a miniature Labradoodle named Isabelle. They live in the Fountain of Youth, a.k.a. Naples, FL where dancing and romancing continues on ad infinitum.

Good Cop – Book One of the Heroes of Henderson Series by Liz Kelly is a very well written book. This was the story of Brooks, Vance, and Lolly, yes, it is about a love triangle between Lolly and these two best friends. Vance is the everyday bad boy who only has one night stands with woman, although he is like that with woman he is still a good guy that is not only a cop but is the head coach for the children’s baseball team in town. Brooks is also a cop in the small town of Henderson. He is considered the Good Cop because he always goes above and beyond to help the town people. Lolly is Brook’s sister’s best friend. Brook has been around Lolly for many years and has had a thing for her for a while. When he finds out Lolly is coming home for the summer he takes this as his opportunity to start dating her. When Lolly gets into town she runs into Vance immediately, Vance decides he may have to get his hand on her until Brook walks in and claims her. The chemistry between Brook and Lolly and Vance and Lolly leaves you wondering who she is going to end up with. There are a lot of twist and turns and a lot of funny parts! You have to read this to find out what happens! This book did not have any violence in it and there was some sexual content. This book was a very easy read. I found myself laughing out loud many. I absolutely loved this book and the Characters in it! I highly recommend this book to all who love Romantic Comedies!
“That’s right. I’m officially offering up my own bat and balls for whatever Miss DuVal may require.”
“I’ve been so lost for so long. Hearing you laugh – Feeling you in my arms – all the anger I’ve ever held is gone. It’s all gone.”
“I’m rejuvenated. I have hope and I’m excited. Life seems so good. There’s so much to look forward to now that you are in it.”
Definitely a book I recommend.
Brooks has loved Lolly for as long as he can remember. He is hoping her return for the summer could be their beginning and he can convince her to stay in Henderson. Vance is a play boy and has no idea how to be friends with a woman nor how to have a serious relationship. He sees Lolly as a woman who can tell him where he is going wrong. Brooks would do almost anything for Vance, a true bromance, but this is starting to be a love triangle when he wants Lolly for himself. Lolly's mother is throwing in a few curve balls and Lolly is finding it difficult to cope with all the changes, information, and depth of feelings she is experiencing. Brooks' ex also decides to return to Henderson before Brooks and Lolly can identify their relationship.
