I absolutely love this book! I got it for $1.00 on clearance at Marshalls! This book has more than paid for itself. The shopping strategies and suggested websites have saved me a ton. One of the first advice I used in this book was signing up for Ebates. When ever I am shopping online, I go through Ebates first to save a percentage on everything I buy. I was amazed to see how many merchants were listed with Ebates from Walmart to Groupon. Yes, even Groupon where you buy products and services for dirt cheap. Ebates allows you to take even more of a percentage off.

Recently, I saved over $40.00 on one transaction. I needed my car fixed and the local repair men were giving me outrageous quotes. They quoted the price for the part and labor, and it seemed that the price for the part was driving up the cost. So, I used Ebates to access Advance Auto Parts Website to price the part I needed. To my surprise, Ebates had a coupon code that allowed me to take $40 off a purchase of $110 or more while also saving an additional 6% off the purchase price. Talk about savings. I was able to find a mechanic who allowed me to bring my own part and my car was repaired for a third of the previously quoted prices.

I can go on and on about how much money I have saved by using the coupon savings strategies suggested in this book, but Amazon's review section does not have enough room. LOL. The book has two main parts: How to Be a Smart Shopper (takes you through the nitty gritty of budget-conscious shopping)and Get a Good Deal(You can use the knowledge learned in part 1 for this section). Everything is sectioned off nicely. Here are some of the sections for how to get a deal: How to get a deal on big-ticket items, Food, Fashion and Beauty, Services, Entertainment, Travel, Cars and so forth. This book will definitely be an asset if you choose to buy it.
