I love the way this book unfolded all the way through. The opening scenes give a great introduction to the Zorn brothers and their integrity and also to the dream Emily Daniels has of recreating her deceased Nonna Olivia's home into a thriving business in Toronto. She wants to create a family legacy and these men will work hard to fulfill her dreams. (The Zorn brothers also have some surprises for how they have fun, too, but I won't spoil that since it was a surprise to me.) And since Nick seems to be the favorite brother according to Michael, and he was Nonna's favorite, I look forward to his book!
In 'A Good Man', Michael Zorn sadly needs a personal fixer upper and I loved that Emily Daniels and her dream became an awakening and an oasis for him. Who knew it would come in the form of an adorable client who was already engaged? I loved the boundary of her being attached to someone else because we got to see their affection for one another develop. Of course, Emily had a crush on this tv star so that made it all the more fun!
Michael's headaches and overprotectiveness towards Emily and her rat fiance let us begin to see the effects of his unstable emotional state. It was heartbreaking to see Michael suffer and be so frustrated and stuck in memories of a traumatic event. Rosanna Leo gives a great story but doesn't let love conquer all here. I really appreciated going step by step alongside Michael Zorn getting the help he needed to begin to overcome his PTSD. All that was great while watching Emily's dream come true and watching her bloom under Michael's sweetness. These two were adorable with great chemistry!
Go grab this fun, yet heartbreaking, story of Michael Zorn and Emily Daniels!
Emily and Michael meet and are attracted to each other but there is the issue of his ex-girlfriend and her fiancée who are still in the picture . The biggest issue is his PTSD which he has because of a tragic event in his past. How they overcome these issues to finally be together is handled competently by the author without being preachy or aggressively by the author. Rosanna Leo is a fantastic writer who has obviously done her research on PTSD and it comes through in the story .This storyline has it all forgiveness, hope but most importantly love.
This is a fantastic first in the series and I am looking forward to reading more in the series.
>I am an independent reviewer. This book is the 1st in the Handymen series and ends in an HEA. Michael and his 2 brothers are in the construction business and are the stars of a reality home renovation show. There is tension between the show’s director and her ex- Michael. All 3 brothers are portrayed as really good guys. Guys that always help and do the right thing. Knowing this, imagining Michael having an affair with the director seems out of character.
>Emily inherited her grandmother’s home and is having it renovated on the reality show. Emily wants to make a restaurant out of the home. Her fiancé, Trent, is supposed to be involved in the show, as well, but their relationship is not in a good place. Michael feels and instant attraction to Emily, but fights it until the fiancé is out of the picture. This book is a feel good story, but does have some trauma in it also.
>Michael is suffering PTSD due to a trauma he suffered earlier in the year. The thoughts, dreams and actions of Michael really make the condition hit home with how debilitating PTSD can be. Emily is so perfect in her quest to help Michael through his suffering. The story is a cute glimpse in to the behind the scenes of a reality show and also a heartbreaking glimpse into the mind of someone suffering from PTSD.
>This book is appropriate for an adult audience. I am giving the story 5 stars.
