My 7 year old loves these chapter books. I love that they include women that are less commonly known (at least to us!). Of the 5 women, Ada Lovelace, Madam C. J. Walker, Dr. Wangari Maathai, Junko Tabei, and Alicia Alonso, We already had books on Lovelace and Maathai, though they were picture books and not chapter books.

These are easy reads for my advanced reader. She reads them in about an hour. She really likes the full color pictures, as most chapter books are either pictureless or have b/w pictures.
