I am very interested in this book due to all of my friends who are heavy into programming highly recommend it, however is it good for day 1 beginners who know absolutely nothing about coding/programming? Will I be able to learn and build a solid foundation from reading this book and be able to code even at a basic level?

"Code Complete" is not a book for beginners-I'd wait to read it.

In my opinion, I believe the "Head First" series (published by O'Reilly) are excellent books for beginners.
