From do-it-yourself, to professional, to industrial applications, Goodyear delivers. 100% made and assembled in the USA, the Goodyear Rubber Lead-In Air Hose is built to perform and backed by an industry-leading 10 year guarantee. This shorter length hose is designed to connect accessories, including air hose reels, to air compressors. Specially-formulated rubber construction meets RMA Class "C" oil resistance and exceeds RMA 4:1 safety factor (burst/working pressure ratio). With a broad -40 F to 190 F working temperature range, it works comfortably and remains flexible in the toughest environments. Protected by the abrasion-resistant outer jacket, the internal spiral synthetic yarn reinforces the hose wall, preventing splitting or bubbling at high pressures and temperatures. Only solid brass end fittings are used to ensure tight, leak-free connections. Michigan Industrial Tools guarantees this product for 10 YEARS. If you have any questions about this product, contact Michigan Industrial Tools.

Beware if using for typical compressed air systems, that compatible fittings are not generally available for most automotive compressors and tools or the like. For that you'll want the 3/8" version of this product.
The larger 1/2" diameter has flow advantages only if the rest of your system is plumbed with low restriction airways, e.g. if you have a hard plumbed system with 1/2" fittings.
Note that you cannot return this product either, so do double-check that you really do want the 1/2" threaded brass terminations before purchasing.
As for my Ryobi P730, the chuck on the factory hose was low quality and got to be unusable with little use so my plan was to swap the stock hose with this one so I would have a better hose, an extra foot, and I could replace the chuck if it ever wore out. I looked at what comes up as a direct replacement (http://www.amazon.com/Ryobi-671793001-Hose-Handheld-Inflator/dp/B008X0JFMS/ref=cm_cd_al_qh_dp_t ) but I didn't want to have to replace it again next year. I ordered this hose and the CTA Tools 1930 chuck. When they arrived, I opened my pump to take off the old hose only to find out the inside end is not the same size 1/4" NPT fitting as this hose. Its very close in size but the threads are much finer.
What I did was reattach the old hose cut the end off. I inserted a quick release coupler with a 1/4" barb end. Go through the trouble of finding a 3/16" barb. I spent an hour fighting to get the 1/4" barb on. I attached the new chuck to a quick release adapter so now the pump is usable as it was before with a better chuck. Since I had this hose, I attached a quick release stem to one end and a quick release coupler to the other. Now I can extend the factor hose 3' when needed. Be advised that if this hose would have fit the inside of my pump, it would not have fit inside the storage area. In fact, I have trouble getting the stock hose with the coupler attached in the storage area (forget about doing it with the chuck attached.Read more ›

I have the same yellow, rubber Goodyear-licensed hose in 50'. It lays flat, no matter the temperature and winds easily. No coiled memory as with other hose materials. Read morePublished 21 days ago by Mary
