One thing that I really enjoy about Jacquelyn Ayres writing is that its realistic. Yes the story is fiction, but events that take place could easily happen to any one of us, the characters are relatable, flawed, and if you didn't know better you would think they're real. She can make me laugh until I can't breath and tears are streaming down my face, but this also means she has the power to make me ugly cry. Hardcore. You can tell she pours ALL of her heart into her books, you can feel it, she also takes a piece of yours when you read it. I for one would NOT have it any other way.
I am VERY excited for Part II of this Prequel and EVERYTHING else to come!!!
So I read the Lost & Found Series and completely healed from the mind f**k that is the series. I have never in my life had such a love/hate relationship with not only the author, but the characters as well. That plot twist tho! O. M. G! I shiver to this day thinking about it. If you haven't read it yet, then clearly you should not be reading the prequel to it. With that said, if you haven't read it, get busy. I'll wait. *picks up knitting needles and pretends to know what I'm doing* Don't look at me like that! I'm serious go read the series if you have not! One of the greatest twists ever. If you have read it, *fist bump* you rock!
Now when I heard that Jackie-OH (yes that's what I call her because....dayummmmmm that woman can write some hotness!)...train of thought....OH when I heard she was writing a prequel to my favorite peoples, I was more than excited. I was flipping ecstatic. If I could have done cartwheels, I would've, but seeing how I am energy-lacking and physically...ok so it just won't gonna happen, I just squealed and bounced on my bed. None the less, EXCITED!
I love her writing style. I've read everything that woman has written and I'm enamored by her. Tho I feel like I'm in some kind of sick and twisted emotionally abusive relationship with her. I laugh. I cry. I laugh. I cry. I smile. I get angry. I laugh. I cry. I'm ready to spit nails. I yell "WTF WOMAN?!?!?!" And that's from just one chapter!Read more ›
I would recommend you do read the 1st 3 books in the Lost & Found series before you read Goodbye Reservations because it gives you the history of Becca and it probably won’t make sense if you haven’t read them.
There are lots of moments in this book that are both frustrating and funny all at the same time. Becca’s life journey is full of ups and downs and she has a wonderful support network to prop her up when she needs it but they also put her in her place & set her straight when required. Becca is a caring nurturing woman and people are instantly drawn to her. She is hard not to like. Where she is sitting in terms of maturity and life experience at the beginning of the book is a very different place to where she is by the end. Her growth as a character is beautifully done and she really comes into her own.
Jacquelyn Ayres is one of those authors that can make you cry, and I mean full on sobbing, bawl your eyes out cry on one page then have you laughing your butt off when you turn the page. I have no idea where her words come from but they are poignant, powerful and on the mark every time. She certainly has not disappointed with this latest book.
If you have already read The Lost & Found series, you will love this book & be happy you made the choice to read it, and if you haven’t yet had the pleasure of reading this series, you seriously need to correct that really quick and when you are done with the 1st 3 books read this one ASAP!! It is well worth your time!!

Great prequel to this already amazing trilogy.
Absolutely loved this prequel! This is the back story of Becca. This is the story that made her the woman she was in The Lost & Found Series. Read morePublished 10 months ago by Christine Kaye Lofton
