This is the first bento style box that I have used for kids' lunches, and I like it a lot. When I was shopping for these, I wasn't sure what "not leakproof" meant. For this box, at least, it means that it won't hold true liquids, like soup or juice, without leaking. But I have put yogurt, salad dressing, mustard, etc in it with no leakage. And the compartments are very well sealed off from each other, which has not been the case in other compartmentalized containers that I have bought. It is large, but I have found that to be a plus, as it gives me more flexibility in packing things. I also tend to pack a big healthy lunch, and then let my kids decide what to save for "snack time" at school, so it works for us that way. Someone said that you have to use the Goodbyn lunch bag if you want an insulated bag, but that's not the case. You do need a larger bag than the typical kids lunch sack, but we use the Igloo mini tote, which was much cheaper and plenty big (and comes in lots of colors that my kids liked). The only reason I gave this four stars instead of five is that it can be a little tough to be sure that you got the lid(s) completely sealed. You have to push down all the corners, rather than just popping down the center "tupperware" style. But that's not a big deal, and my kids (ages 7&9) learned it pretty quickly too. Overall, I'm very glad to have this; it has made packing lunches much quicker and easier (and I think I pack a better lunch, because the bento style sort of screams "food groups" at you).

We love this lunchbox. Great for my elementary aged kids. They are big eaters and the Yumbox that I use for preschool just won't hold enough food for them now. This easily holds a whole sandwich with room to spare in the main compartment. A small apple will fit whole in the smaller section. There is room for a good portion of whatever side you are including. You can put a whole banana and a yogurt in the main compartment. When you need leak proof - the smaller bins with lids do the trick. So easy to clean. This is really the best thing I have found to eliminate disposable trash without having to clean 10 different tiny containers every day. The only drawback is that it doesn't fit inside most lunchboxes. It does fit nicely inside the Embark lunchbox at Target, which has an outside pocket for a drink. There is also room inside the Embark to slip in a juice box and an icepack with the Goodbyn. We have a pink and a green Goodbyn Hero and we love them!

We bought two for our 1st grader, so we would have a spare if the dishes didn't get done the night before or if it got left at school. I love the flexibility of the extra containers, and that they have individual lids so I can send dip for her veggies. The main lid does not come off easily but it also isn't so difficult that she cannot open it herself (just means it doesn't accidentally pop open in the backpack!). It fits a standard size juice box in the main compartment, along with half a wrap or a half sandwich. It is deep enough that you can halve a wrap or sandwich and stack the halves so send the whole thing. It cleans easily and is very durable.

So far, this is a great product. I bought for my kindergartner's lunch and she is able to open all compartments and get it snapped back together to come home. I have not put anything liquid in it yet but it has held together well without leaks for juicy fruits like strawberries and kiwis. I do usually put those in the smaller container inside the larger container just in case. The sizes of the compartment are just right to pack her lunch items. This is a larger lunch box and it just fits inside the soft-sided land's end brand lunch bag I have.

This is our first Goodbyn box, and it gets two thumbs up from me and both of my children! It fits enough for big appetites and can be customized to accommodate a variety of different types of meals, with the included lidded cups. My daughter is always upset when hers is being washed and she has to take a different container. The one piece lid is easy for both parents and kids to use. Once closed, the lid seals each compartment and prevents them from leaking into each other. This box checks all the boxes for me. I will be buying a second set!

This has a really good seal yet it's easy for my 6 year old to open on her own.
It does not fit inside a lunch box.
I had originally wanted it to fit inside the lunchbox but every once in awhile she will forget hers at school and she likes taking this one all on its own.
Great purchase !

Our daycare teachers love these containers. They have about 10 kids in one class, these containers make it easier to keep track of everyone's food containers. My daughter loves the pink color and that there is more of a variety of food to choose from. These are kind of large, so make sure you measure your lunch sack.

My girls love their lunch boxes. I love finally having one that will keep the food separate and doesn't spill over from one compartment to the other. We bought the dishwasher proof stickers designed for this box and they work great too. The kids really loved personalizing their boxes
UPDATE:
Maybe not good for little ones. My K and 1st graders' teachers asked the girls not to bring these to school anymore. The girls couldn't close them all the way on their own after lunch so their half-eaten lunch spilled all over the place bringing it back to classroom and/or in back pack
