It pokes fun at nowadays' electronic lifestyle. The kids in the book are playing with ipads and phones rather than toys, the ambient sounds are beeps and blips rather than what one might have heard even 10 years ago, and at the end of the evening, you gotta wrestle the gadgets away from your kids to get them to bed.
It brings a wry smile to you if you're a parent or not. A quick 5 minute read, and priced below $10 most places. A great coffee table book!
But since we received this book, all he wants to read is Goodnight Ipad. He enjoys the pictures on the pages. On the page that actually says "Goodnight Ipad," one of the characters is saying "Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooo." My son points to each letter and says, "N, O, O, O, O, O, O, O, O... Nooooooooooooooooooooo" all on his own.
For my wife and me, its a book that we enjoy reading to him, as much as he enjoys hearing. It will be a constantly read book in our house for years to come, and for any grandchildren we might have in the future as well.
