I got this charger for my new built quadcopter with a 5000mAH 3s Lipo battery. Came in, started charging the minute I plugged it in. About two months later (today) after approximately 20-30 cycles of use( full low to full charge). One of the leds on the charger just went out, I thought it must have been just the led and didnt take my battery out.
2 hours later I come home to see a ever so slightly puffy battery, this happened because not all of the 3 cells charged and only 2. This made my battery pack a 2 cell battery pack, It was quite funny to see how my quadcopter reacted to this :). The thing on full throttle was on the floor, causing for some serious confusion.
I opened up the charger to see what was wrong and sure enough one of the three chips was blown to kingdom come. Trashed the charger, went online, bought the same one as its inexpensive and worked for a good 2 months.
So conclusion: You can buy this charger and it'll work, but do consider the possibility of a chip burning up. Perhaps Ill make some cooling system for it with a heat sink or an old water cooler.
