In The Goonies, a gang of misfit kids and their families are about to be evicted from their neighborhood, because it’s slated to be turned into a golf course — unless enough money can be raised to stop the development. When the leader of the gang, Mikey, stumbles across an old map leading to the hidden fortune of a pirate named One-Eyed Willy, the Goonies head out on one last adventure to find the treasure and save the day. Gather the kids together and get ready to enjoy one of the most hilarious family movies of all time.

Trivia

One-Eyed Willie’s ship was entirely real. It was 105 feet long and took two and a half months to build.

The makeup for John Matuszak’s character, Sloth, took five hours to complete, and one of his eyes was controlled off-stage by remote control.

The bats were made from crumpled pieces of black crepe paper that were shot from an air cannon.

Clark “Mouth” Devereaux (Corey Feldman)

Having earned his nickname for his smart-alecky personality, Mouth is a member of the Goonies and Mikey’s lieutenant.

Lawrence “Chunk” Cohen (Jeff Cohen)

Chunk has a big appetite and a size to match, which is how he earned his nickname. A member of the Goonies, Chunk acts as Mikey’s sergeant.

Richard “Data” Wang (Jonathan Quon)

Data is the techie corporal of the Goonies gang. A big fan of James Bond, Data carries all his gadgets in his trench coat.

Brandon “Brand” Walsh (Josh Brolin)

Mikey’s older brother, Brand wrecks the gang’s plans for one last Goonies weekend road trip when he fails to pass his driver’s test.

Andrea “Andy” Carmichael (Kerri Green)

A popular cheerleader, Andy is attracted to Brand even though she’s the girlfriend of the high school jock. She gets swept up in the Goonies’ adventure by accident.

Stephanie “Stef” Steinbrenner (Martha Plimpton)

A tough-talking nerd and tomboy, Stef is Andy’s best friend. Although she doesn’t usually hang around with the Goonies, she does get entangled in their mess.

The deformed younger brother of the criminal Fratelli family, Sloth forms a bond of friendship with Chunk and helps him escape capture.
