The specified dolly lug nut torque is 120 FT LBS. I'm a professional mechanic and I have removed locking lug nuts many times without the key, but that is in my shop environment. When lug nuts are very tight it greatly increases the level of difficulty in removing them by other means other than using the key. These Gorilla Acorn locks would take a lot of effort while requiring specific tools and its extremely unlikely anyone in a remote environment would have the specific needed tools on hand to defeat the locks. The dolly coupler is locked as is the ball mount stinger locked to the receiver hitch. These security steps by far provide more than sufficient security for my needs especially when you consider the dolly has only two wheels and the Gorilla set comes with 4 lug nuts, I used two locks per wheel torqued to 120 ft lbs. GOOD LUCK GETTING THEM!!

However...on the plus side, they were good looking, strong and elevated punks from common tire thieves to grand theft auto villains. When or if they get caught they will have a felony charge to answer to.
Why no method is 100% effective, these locks will deter 99% of all wheel thieves and is a must for your car. Sometimes a simple $20 purchase can save you hundreds of dollars and some heart ache. Don't put it off any longer!
The only possible way to severely damage the wheel to the point it becomes useless. The key itself does not have a number, but it does include a lock number and a decal so you can install in the glove box for future reference and order more if needed. I’m in no way sponsored at all but I felt really compelled to write this review based on my prior experience with other locks that they even sell “MASTER LOCK KEYS” to the public which makes them useless and a waste of money. These fools nowadays want the easy way out and don’t like to word hard for anything and like to come up at hard working people’s expense stealing wheels and leaving the cars on the ground completely.
I hope this review at least helps keep one person from getting their rims stolen.
