1-this thing is a beast. Well built, sturdy, easy to move across different terrains and yes EASY TO ASSEMBLE.
2- you don't need to buy different hardware. Hardware supplied works just fine!
Now, I am what I would consider to have average to below average mechanical skills. IE: I would generally pay a hardware store to assemble this for me. But the price was attractive to me that the local Lowe's wanted $119 for a comparable model.
Tools I used.
Electric battery operated drill/screw driver.
1 regular screw driver
Needle nose pliers
Large pliers
Power extension 3/8" drive
11/16" socket for handle
1/2" socket for all others
I started by separating all pieces and left the hardware in the container. You simply start with #1 and work your way thru the pack.
Then I loosely put all pieces together. Screwed all pieces hand tight, not wheels or handle. Next i took my electric drill, attached the power extension, 1/2" socket and put that out the nut end. Holding the screw with the regular screw driver, I tightened the nut. Easy as that.
Now the wheels (see photos). Put on washer, then wheel, put the pin in and bent back each end of the pin.
Put the handle on and didn't have a socket big enough, so i simply used the large pliers and tightened.
Assemble took 30 minutes from unpacking to being done. I am very pleased with this item and would highly encourage purchasing!
Oh and smell... It did have a new tire smell but nothing over bearing.

Received 2nd cart reasonably quickly. Box was in worse shape than the first one, but the bed was intact. I used unpacked parts from the first cart and the bed from the 2nd to complete the rather time consuming assembly process and have now "tested" the cart and returned the damaged bed and packed parts from the 2nd unit in the box from the first one.
To other potential purchasers... I suspect that there are better, more durable versions of this design. I ran into a guy in our parking lot who was visiting. He commented that he had purchased one of these and ended up scrapping it because the bed broke at the bolt holes after a relatively short period of use.
My advice is this: Snug every bolt using a relatively short ratchet handle and enough pressure so the lock nuts do not budge when tried a 2nd time after all the nuts have been snugged the first time. Periodically check the nuts, especially the ones that will be affected when the cart is opened to dump and dropped back in place to be sure that vibration is not loosening them. Be cautious with loading and dumping and treat the bed carefully.
If it fails me, I will post additional comments. I'm an "old geezer" who plans to uses this for small landscaping projects. I like the fact that it is very light weight. Before I completed the assembly, I used my bicycle pump (which has a pressure gage) to put 30lb of air in all four tires. You can feel the difference the extra pressure makes. The cart rolls quite easily.
I like the design and the relatively light weight. I'm 75 and have had major surgery to repair an Aortic aneurysm, so I'm not supposed to be lifting, or carrying heavy loads. I just used the cart to bring groceries from my car, and I'm using it to fetch and spread mulch on flower beds, etc., etc. The other day, I accidentally left the parking lights on in my truck, and it would not start. I had the cart in the back of the truck, so I took out the battery, put it in the cart, and rolled it to the shop. I could not have carried it that far, but with the cart, it was a piece of cake. Left the cart with the battery, came back several hours later, loaded the battery up, and rolled it back to my truck, installed it, threw the cart in the bed, started up and drove everything home.... I find it much more versatile than a wheelbarrow, and with four wheels, it is more stable.
Guess what? After one season I have a tire that will not hold air! It looks like the valve stem for the tubeless tire on one wheel has come loose. What a PITA! I have downgraded my review again.

I haven't used it yet to carry anything but the handling and steering is tight and easy to manipulate when I dragged it around my backyard. I expected it to be smaller than what I actually got; so that was a welcomed surprise.
As I've read elsewhere, the assembly is a bit cumbersome. The parts are fastened with nuts and bolts, and they're really hard to tighten. I recommend to have one of those universal nut/bolt grippers that work with a power drill to save yourself the headache. Luckily it isn't many steps. The only other concern I have is the plastic bed; if it cracked from shipping then I plan to be cautious how I load things into it.
Still a great cart. Aesthetically pleasing, much larger than expected and the dumping feature is really easy to use.
Update: I used the cart over the weekend to move 8 cubic yards of mulch. It was worth every penny. It is much more easier to use than a wheelbarrow and it could overcome easily overcome uneven/raised paths without much momentum. I actually used it alongside a stereotypical metal wheelbarrow and the Gorilla cart outperformed it in every way. I'd still recommend to be careful how/what you load into the plastic bed.

With ratcheting socket wrenches you will end up with the most solidly built little garden wagon you have ever had the delight to own and you can be proud that you put the thing together easily and efficiently preventing assembly rage and a double hernia.
Once complete, you will marvel at the smooth maneuverability of the tiny turning radius and the multipurposeful uses for your new mode of dump and transport. You will find excuses to lug heavy amounts of dirt, rock, gravel, cement bags, garbage, livestock and wood just because you can!
