Great construction, very comfortable chair. I found it easy to set up. Instructions were great. There is just one.......thing. The pins they use for connecting the cable for climbing have a clip on them that fit into a notch instead of going completely through the pin. After an hour in my stand I noticed that one had come detached. User error? Maybe. The pin had worked itself out about halfway. No Problem though, I just stood up and reseated the pin and re-notched the safety clip. I'm experienced with climbers but concerned for beginners. Outstanding product at a really good price! I do plan on replacing pins with those that require large cotter pins. Old school preference. Otherwise, I love my new climber! K.Suber

Item was as expected and my grandson loves it. I would tell anyone to purchase this climbing stand. He says it is very comfortable and would buy another one.

this is the best tree stand i have ever perchased. very comfortable and easy to use if you have common sense. super quiet setting up and during climbing. the only issue is that its a little heavy but feels a heck of a lot safer than a summit stand that costs alot more, and I bet this stand will last me alot longer

I purchased this product Oct 6, 2011. I received it the next afternoon and opened the box. The instructions were very vague with poorly drawn pictures. This was my first climbing stand I had purchased but had used them before. I took it outside and immediately put it in a tree. I am a bigger person being 6 foot 3 and weighing about 255. This stand is rated for 300 but it felt incredibly unstable and the metal even flexed when you stood on it. When sitting my feet also hung off the edge. One of the D rings that holds to the tree also broke within 5 minutes. Lets just say I wasn't satisfied. I returned it to Amazon no problems. Amazon is great to deal with. Do yourself a favor and buy a Summit or API. Gorilla is junk!
