Beware- VW V-Tex leatherette seat owners

I'm writing this review after using the product for about an year and keeping it inside the trunk for another year.
I'm not sure about other cars but this applies to VW owners with their "V-Tex Leatherette" seats. I own a 2017 VW Jetta with beige interior and over the course of about 1 year that I've used this product on my driver seat, it stained the heck out of my beige seat. I've tried to take the stains out but it won't come out with conventional cleaning products. I bought this product to protect my seats but instead ended up ruining my seat. Please be careful.

I purchased this to protect my passenger seat while transporting a beloved friend, who has no bladder control, to church functions. I tested the product by pouring 1 cup of water on it. The water puddled on surface of the seat cover, meaning it was not penetrating IT. After waiting 10 minutes, I soaked up the water with a towel and felt the cover. It was surprisingly dry, which means the water did not penetrate the cover! I then removed the seat cover and felt that the CAR SEAT underneath was COMPLETELY dry. I am so happy to find this because now I can continue to transport my friend, even if she has accidents in my car. I can throw it in the washing machine on handwash-cycle and hang it to dry. Exactly what I need. I have a Toyota Rav4, and this fit perfectly!

I have to change my review to 1 star, very disappointed, they only gripped and were non slip until I used my heated seats, now they slide all over the place and are very irritating to me and my husband when we get in the vehicle. He complains everytime we get in the car about them sliding... sad... would not buy again and don't recommend them, sorry. Also the edges by the shoulder part of the cover curl up. I wish I could return them for something else that truly stays in place and works.

I use this when I go surfing. I have black leather seats and I only use them after I come out of the water and head home. Otherwise they are rolled up in my garage. It’s such a relief to know that I have an awesome pair of seat covers that totally cover the seat from top to bottom! The covers soak up any moisture and the skid pads on the underside keep the covers from sliding around. When I get home, I hang them to dry; I’ll wash them in the washing machine, after every three sessions, to get the salt and residue out. Way better than spending hundreds for a permanent seat cover! I did some intense research before buying these, and I think it’s a matter of how you use and maintain the seat covers to avoid permanent damage to your seats. Hope this helps!
