A big thing to note here is the controls for Gothic and Gothic 2. There is little in the way of mouse support in Gothic 1. While you can use it to look around, honestly it's easier to just use the keyboard. This is the same for Gothic 2.
One thing I liked to do was use my Nyko Airflo, a USB controller, to play both games. By using Pinnacle Game Profiler, I mapped the buttons to my controller. This made Gothic and Gothic 2 play a lot better.
I did find some glitches in the original Gothic, in that at times the game crashed. Especially if you try to Alt-Tab out of the game to check something. Or if something causes the game window to lose focus. There is really no remedy I can see for this, other than to save often.
That being said, The 'Gothic Complete Collection' was very disapointing. I bought it because it was advertised to run on Windows 7, 8, XP and Vista. Since I'm now running Windows 7, I was estatic, and quickly bought it. Just to be clear, the first 2 titles, 'Gothic' and 'Gothic II' do NOT run on Windows 7, and 'Gothic 3' ran poorly, but only for about 10 minutes. At that time it, as well, wouldn't run on Windows 7.
The games are still a well-remembered part of my gaming history, but untill they fix the Windows 7 issue, I cannot relive it, unless I want to upgrade my system to Windows 8 (supposedly). Doing this for 1 set of games seems a little...counter-productive.
Well, realy there is plenty to be sad, first : It is runing on windows 7 no problems!!!
It is a colection o the best 3 games of this series, and of the rpg world in total...
I personaly can not explain in totoal how cool it is so I'll just give an advice to all thouse who read this review: Buy it,play it and enjoy...
