Gotrek and Felix find themselves prisoner and sent to the sea kingdom of Barak Var where its king demands that Gotrek return its most treasured item. Only to find that Skaven have somehow stolen it. Now on a quest with a small band of dwarves they go deep into the kingdom's lost halls to try and find the skaven and the treasure so that Gotrek can return to searching for his doom.
Felix Jagger wasn't always at Gotrek side in fact there was a time before that as he was disgraced from the college he was leaning from and cast out by his father. robbed and left with nothing he stumbles upon a hunting party lead by a wizard that is seeking out an ancient tome of magic that could help the Empire. However as Felix grows concerned of the loss of life and the wizard willing to risk everyone's life all for a book has felix thrown in with the wrong group?
In Kislev Gortek and Felix are trapped in a blinding blizzard and somehow come upon an ancient castle that houses a dark secret. With no clues and the only help from a hunter who was also lost in the storm can they discover what it is before it is too late?
All in all these are great tales as to read and intrestling enough the last story was an audio book before placing it within this book. So i didn't need to read this as I had already heard it. (Check out my review on that on as well).
