MIYA 56 Colors Gouache Paint Set

Gouache paint consists of natural pigment, water, a binding agent usually gum arabic or dextrin, which is designed to be used with opaque methods of painting. Perfect for commercial artists on posters, illustrations and other design work. Similar to watercolor, gouache can be re-wetted and it dries to a matte finish, and the paint can become infused with its paper support. Similar to acrylic or oil paints, it is normally used in an opaque painting style and it can form a superficial layer.

I wish each color palette came with lids so that the jelly stays moist over a long period of time like the brand Art Whale does! Overall nice variety of colors compared to art whale (40 colors) for $58 dollars. No. I’d rather have Himi’s color palette of 56. It should be 5 stars except make them in lids!

I'm new to painting with any medium but not aware enough of what is a good quality and what isn't. These glid nicely and feel good under the brush. There is a wonderful array of color in these so you can mix to create other colors from the already vast choice. They have a peel away lid in a locking plastic case and I was worried about them drying out but they've been fine with no problems. Getting the peel lid off is a little challenging but once you do it you're done. I'd really recommend these. Matter a fact I'm ordering a second one now. Being a color junkie this is heaven!

This is beautiful! There is every color of the rainbow! It is easy to use but you have to keep it wet and I can only tell you the main problem with this is that people will use tap water and it will get moldy if you do that. If you use distilled water it will never get moldy. It will dry up if you don't keep it wet, but it's okay if it dries up because it will wet again. I never had a better paint set than this set.
