Medium hard cheese sticks to the blade. It hurts my wrists when I used it to grand hard cheese. I have to push and turn with force at the same time for five minute for two table spoons of Parmesan cheese.

I watched this in person being used, as well as tested fresh garlic, carrots, bread, crackers and a hard boiled egg! I've never had an issue with this product. In fact it has a lifetime guarantee plus has done everything from cinnamon to soft cheeses. There are TWO blade options. For those who complained about using it on carrots and hard items, there is a blade made specifically for those. It's free with watching the show and buying one but normally another $7.00. This blade works with carrots and harder food products. The standard will do cheese, bread, and even tomatoes. I got one as a free gift plus cooking scissors and I'm very pleased with my $24.99 purchase!

Cheese Mill is absolute rubbish. Bought at Ideal Home Exhibition. Looked very easy to use at the show. Tried Cheddar Cheese - ended up with more cheese stuck in the bottom than managed to grate. I bought two in total, all unless. It is so bad I thought there must be a part missing, so I doubled checked, it was all there. Needs a lot of pressure to push the food down. Waste of money, do not buy.

Absolute rubbish. Bought one of these at ideal home exhibition. Looked very easy to use at the show. Tried to grate bread, useless. It got stuck in the bottom of the grater. Then tried cheese - ended up with more cheese stuck in the bottom than we had managed to grate. We bought four in total. All rubbish. Needs a lot of pressure to push the food down. Now at the back of the cupboard . What a waste of money.

We bought two of these at a home and garden show last night. Tried it out of hard Parmesan and a soft cheddar. Both grated easily and you didn't have to push hard(which is why we don't like or other cheese grater). I didn't see these comments until after we bought it but so far I am mystified as to why they are so negative. We always had to cut the cheese up for our other grater too so that didn't seem a big deal. I'll repost if I find anything negative.
It also left VERY little cheese left in the bottom of the grater. Unlike our former grater Here is a picture of what we used to use.Zyliss 11370 Classic Rotary-Style Cheese Grater

I bought this cheese mill at a warehouse sale. I specifically asked the sales lady if it would grate carrots. She said it did. I brought it home and tried to grate a carrot for my salad and ended up having to cut it by hand. The only thing it grated was cheese and it did do a passable job. Twice through the dishwasher on the top rack and the chrome came off. It was returned and I received a refund. Save your time and money by NOT buying this product.
