About the Author
Bob Kinford's mother began teaching him to cook before he was five, telling him "You may not always have someone to cook for you." That was one of her premonitions that came true. For much of his adult life Bob has lived alone on remote ranches, cooking for himself and for crew that would come in to help work cattle. One of the stereotypes of the Cowboy is that they only eat beef, biscuits and beans. Raised in farm and ranch country of Amador County in northern California. Most of the ranchers in the area were of Italian descent, so when he day worked in his youth, Italian food was served. Other areas he has worked ranches were owned by people of backgrounds adding a little bit of each ethnic group to his unique cooking style. Currently Bob is operating a stocker steer ranch out of Van Horn Texas. He lives there with his wife Catie and their son Dakota.

The cookbook is entertaining, creative...and REAL. Not one of those fancy-do chuckwagon cookbooks that calls for all kinds of know how and ingredients.
This is the one you buy for newly married gal......cause Kinford makes it clear the best food is made with LOVE and FUN.
