I wish I had bought smaller unit with stainless steel inner pot.

I was so excited to find out what all the hype is about with this new kitchen gadget. Unfortunately, this particular model has a few things that make it my least favorite kitchen appliance-
1) with a growing family I got the 10qt size thinking it would be great for larger quantities. Unfortunately, the cook times with this are much longer than what is recommended in recipes for the smaller 6 and 8 qt versions. I did a 4 lb chicken and it took about 60 minutes of actual cooking time -add on 15 minutes warming up and there is nothing instant about this pot. Better off just roasting the thing in the oven.
2) I was hoping that I could replace my slow cooker with this - but the sad news it that it has no low cook option- only high. I suppose I could just use the pressure cooker version instead, but there are times that I like putting food on slow cook and forgetting about it the better part of a day. Plus, I’m not adept at converting slow cooker recipes that I know and let be into pressure cooker times - so there’s that.
3) the inner pot is made of non-stick material with after 3 uses is already pealing and chipping.
On the plus side, it did a great job with making that roast chicken tender and keeping it moist (even if it took an hour and a half and soggy skin). I did a slow cooker butter chicken that turned out beautifully - so it can turn out some nice dishes - but honestly, for the money, I wish I had gone with a smaller pot and one with a stainless steel inner bowl.
