How to make the device supports AI lighting effects for more games?（Step 1）

1. Make sure the device is already connected to Wi-Fi.

2. Unplug all input port cables and plug the adapter back in. Keep the device turned off and the input port disconnected. Wait for fifteen minutes.

How to make the device supports AI lighting effects for more games?（Step 2）

After step 1, check if the firmware can be upgraded after connecting on the App. If detected, more games can be supported after the upgrade is completed. If it is already at the latest version, please check whether new games are available.

What should I do if the light brightness is low in Video Mode?

First of all, please connect the device to WiFi. After waiting for 4 hours, a pop-up box will pop up on Govee Home APP, to remind you to upgrade the firmware. Please confirm that your device firmware is upgraded to the latest version (V 1.00.26.12).

My monitor supports HDMI 2.1, what if there is no screen display or the screen flickers?

The game box does not support HDMI 2.1 functions, please set the HDMI2.1/2.0 input port to AV mode and turn off the HDMI 2.1 related functions (G-sync, VSR, VRR, ALLM, 4K120Hz, etc.).

What should I do if there is no sound when playing Dolby Atmos?

Dolby Atmos requires HDMI 2.1 support, but you can use multiple HDMI cables to connect input devices, audio, game boxes, and monitors in series for transfer playback (requires audio support for eARC functionality).

I've been shopping around for a back light kit that will work on mid-range TVs (mine is a 43") and was starting to get frustrated that no company out there would accommodate that size. Finally settled on this one just to see how it would fit. It states it is rate for up to 34" computer monitors, but it fit just fine on my 43" TV and works great.

The LED strips and clips have a good adhesive, and with the sync box everything was a breeze to set up (no calibration needed). Overall pretty happy with this purchase.

As a side note, the sync box has the nice bonus of also acting as a HDMI switch, which allowed me to hook three devices into a single port on my TV.

Just at the start of the new year I finally was able to receive a new AI Sync Box from the Govee support. After using it for a couple months this one works much better. I still get the screen black outs at 144hz @ 2k but this new box is stable at 120hz instead of the 100hz of the last box. Not sure what's up with that. The immersion of the color replication of the lights are very good and the box operating at 120hz feels a lot better than 100hz. So I'm updating this review to 3 stars. The reason for 3 stars is that this new unit works better, but the customer service was not very responsive, many questions went unanswered, and still I haven't been able to get the 144hz @ 2k as advertised. Do I feel burned? Not really, just a bit let down.

These lights were pretty cool for a while and everything ran fine out of the box but after about a week I started have repeated screen blackouts and green artifacts appearing while flashing on my screen (issues that have been reported on reddit and other sites). I reached out to their tech support and got a fairly quick reply from their support with some suggestions and questions. I Implemented the suggestions that I could and answered what I could then I inquired as how to proceed and for further advice. Well that was about a week ago and I've sent multiple follow up emails to the support person that responded and I've heard nothing. I tried opening a second ticket and never got a response. Overall I'm very disappointed that Govee is lacking in their "lifetime" support. Please take my experience into consideration and decide for yourself if the possible headache and lack of support should arise for you as it did me. Should they ever decide to respond I'll amend this review.

Well shortly after this review went live I heard from another support tech on the same email thread. This one asked for more detailed information and I provided the information within 24hrs. Well they never responded to my reply and that was nearly a week ago. I'm honestly incredibly disappointed in this company. Their lack of communication and follow up is baffling for a company this size. I will continue to update this review. Hopefully I'll have a reason to make this positive in the future.

Ordered this and it arrived and only worked for a total of 5 min before the unit died completely. Will not power on or connect to the app at all. I tried contacting Govee support and got a basic response of "try unplugging it and plugging it back in" and have not heard anything since then. So far not impressed and if they don't respond soon I will proceed with a refund from Amazon. Reading online it seems I'm not the only one with this issue either. I will follow up if this gets resolved by Govee.
