There was a problem filtering reviews right now. Please try again later.
I applied it slowly, peeling a small amount of backing off at a time (about 1-2"). I used a squeegee from a cell phone screen applicator to smooth it out. I used a hair dryer to warm up the sheet before I applied it and as I was applying it. This seemed to make it easier to smooth out any irregularities in the sheet.
I cannot comment on the durability or adhesion as I have only had it applied for a few weeks now. But, so far so good. The cleanup seems consistent with other whiteboards I have used. Typically the writing just wipes off but if it has been on for a while I use some whiteboard cleaner and have had no issue so far.
I cut one sheet to put on a door panel to post a lockup checklist.
I cut another sheet and put it on my desk to act as a notepad, saves on the post it notes.
20 bucks for 40 sq ft of dry erase surface -- or go and spend 200-300 bucks on a hard-surface equivalent.
I bought this, even after reading the other reviews claiming that it sticks to nothing, falls easily, etc...and if you're trying to place it on a schools cinderblock wall, then I completely understand why it is falling, because those surfaces are very porous (lots of little holes in the cinderblock, allowing air to get beneath the surface).
If you're trying to hang it up in your classroom, and you have these types of walls, use it to build your own actual whiteboard, by getting a sheet of light-weight wood or something...place this onto that wood, and then hang the home-made whiteboard up.
With that in mind, most of the other reviews are correct...this does have a bit of trouble sticking once it is up (I have multiple bubbles in it, from just having it up over night.)...however the bublbes don't actually interfere with writing. They're just there...and is acceptable for a $20 writing surface.
As for the falling issue? One nail or thumbtack in each corner solves that.
I'm giving it 5 stars, for the value.
20 bucks, and you get a useful writing surface that does exactly what is intended, and you get a large amount of it. However, I wouldn't recommend it if you're after the quality of a $200-300 whiteboard.
Tips for installing
1) You need at least 2 people (3 is better to get it better aligned)
2) Take your time and go real slow as you peel a piece at a time and push out the air bubbles
3) Use a ruler or plastic spatula to take out any left over bubbles
Daily Maintenance
1) Don't leave the marker on a long time or it will not come off as easily.
2) Never use anything other than dry erase markers

We cleaned the wall quite thoroughly, and allowed it to dry over night. The wall was as clean as it could get.
We carefully rolled it on, and secured the corners and top edge with staples to help keep it applied.
Within hours, it was starting to release all over.
By the next morning, there were about 50 bubbles.
It's still useable, but honestly it's quite a disappointment.
I'm unsure what else we could have done short of apply a contact cement on first.

It’s been a week and it’s holding up well. It was installed over a glass/mirror sliding door. It has stuck well and it is easy to clean.
Installation isn’t the easiest. I’d suggest cutting it to the size you want and laying it flat for a day or two. I’d also suggest not removing more than a few feet of the backing paper at a time.
If you've left the marker on too long and the marker doesn't come off, just use a screen cleaner for whiteboard cleaner solution.
