Wonderful smoky flavor. A whole can was too much for one recipe, we puréed the remaining peppers in a food processor and froze the liquid in cubes. A cube or two makes a great addition to a soup or other recipe.

This little can goes a LONG way! Highly concentrated flavor, spicy balanced with my favorite - smokey flavor. A soft pepper in savory adobo sauce makes a great topping (in small quantities!) on tamales, enchiladas, tacos, etc. Add to bland salsa for an amazing transformation. Blend with pureed roasted red bell peppers for an incredible sweet version. 7oz is a small can, but it really does go a long way. I agree that you might want to freeze what you don't use because you will want to use every drop of it! Great value, precious product!

Great product for those tex mex recipes. The only problem is the can size - its just a little too big - I end up using one or two peppers and then freezing the rest in a zip lock baggie. Not a big deal.

There are lots of peppers in these little cans. The peppers go a long way so unless you are making a huge meal with it one can would be fine. I like how this product was not in bulk when I purchased it.

These are spicy!!!!!!!! They are good but I only used about 1/4 of what I thought I would need because of the heat! Taste before you add them in your recipe!

I found a recipe that I wanted to do, and needed this product. It did a good job. I always say if it's a product you never heard of, go to Amazon. They'll probably have it.

Wow was excited to discover chipotle peppers online. If you read anything about making Chipotle sauce you’ll see that these are integral ingredients for it. The chipotle I made from this was terrific--smoke flavored and spicy. It adds a lot of flavor to anything to put it in, but be advised that a little goes a long way..the peppers themselves are very hot themselves so I found you don’t have to use much to give something a lot of kick. You could make a really nice chipotle sauce by just using the paste that surrounds the peppers. Once you open a can this stuff won’t last long in the refrigerator however, so I put the contents of an opened can in a storage container and put it in a freezer. When I need it I just chip off a bit for use. It doesn’t freeze rock hard so I’ve found no reason to freeze in small portions like others have advised. The only negative was that the can came a bit dented from shipment. Presumably this was because it was in a big box where it knocked against other things during shipping. If you’re thinking about buying this, don’t hesitate!

Delicious! I use this to make tamale meat. I process a can in my food processor, freeze half, then put about half (maybe a little less) in my crock pot with about 3 lbs of meat, salt, onion, and some stock. After a few hours the meat falls apart and has a slightly spicy smokey flavor. Reserve the resulting cooking liquid for your masa. Such delicious subtlety spicy tamales. This stuff packs a pretty good punch a so even the small can will go a long way!
