When a historian disappears from a decrepit Selma mansion, haunted dreamer Carrie Jo is asked to help locate the missing woman. I only read the first book

There are two things that I dislike in a book. One is first person narration. I do check to make sure that the book doesn't have it before I purchase, but this time I got fooled by the first chapter. The other thing that I dislike is going backward and forward in time. Unfortunately, this book has both. I have read books where this has been successfully done. This book is not one of them. The plot is silly and the characters are not well done at all. The dialogue is wooden and doesn't add any depth to the story. I love a good paranormal and was really looking forward to this book. However, instead of a few chills, I got a lot of boredom.
