literally a waste of money.

One star is seriously too much for this. I paid more for this than a cheap one from Walmart and the one from walmart actually works(hindsight). Anyway, this one reads inaccurately which is potentially deadly. The creators and sellers should be ashamed of selling such crap. The thing worked perfectly for 2 months and since then it is crap. It will read all over the place. 99,93,94.5.103.4,97.5. Never the same twice. I contacted the manufacturer after the things went wrong and they refused me. Said they would not honor the warranty because of the nature of the device.

I will never buy GRACO again.

Avoid if you want an accurate temp reading!

I would give 0 stars if I could. Sick 11 month old and the temp registered 97° when she was clearly burning up, quick trip to the Dr to find out she was 100.7° and had an ear infection!!! I also checked it on myself to make sure and it read my temp at 95.2° which is obviously wrong. Cheap! I guess you get what you pay for! Now it is peacefully resting in the trash! Avoid at all costs!

The battery died within a month and before that it ...

The battery died within a month and before that it was very sketchy. It has this memory thing and a lot of times it flashes that and you cannot tell if it's the actual temperature now or if it's an old one. I would use it three times in the same eat and the temp was never the same. Also the screen doesn't always light up so its hard to see half the time. I'm not entirely positive if it's just the battery or if it's glitchy but either way I don't trust it. :(

After one of my cats... yes cats... fell ill, I realized that having a home thermometer that could quickly and accurately measure their temp should be a must in every pet owning household. This one is perfect for exactly that task... it measures temp in, quite literally, one second and has a small reading probe that easily fits in small cat ears (as I'm sure it does in small human baby ears too!). I like how the reading window gives a smiley face for a normal temp and a frowny face for a high temp. Obviously this is all based on human temperatures, so its not appropriate to signify normal vs abnormal cat temperature, but its cute and functional nonetheless. Great product, great functionality, highly recommend!

So, I bought this for my "baby stash" I was putting together before my little guy gets here. I should have read the reviews more in depth. It got here just fine, it wasn't expensive. However it just doesn't work properly. I've tried it in my ear numerous times, and other peoples just to see if it was working. I get WILDLY varying temps min to min and the battery it came with is already running out after using maybe 10 times to check it. I would not bother buying this again or ever. Now I need to get another thermometer before my son gets here, as a first time mother I know I'm going to want a reliable ear thermometer on hand and ready to go to ease some new mom jitters. Don't waste your money, just buck up and buy a good quality one, it may be more expensive, but if you can use it for a long time it will be a better use for your money than this piece.

Such a good thing when you have a fussy sick baby or small child even. It's super fast and accurate. I needed this alot cuz my child had an immune disorder so when the temp would spike up we had to rush to the hospital. I carried this with me all the time on my diaper bag. Good small size and you can just buy new batteries when needed and change them easily. It has a smiley face for when the temp is low which is a nice touch as well.

This thermometer registard a temp of 96.5 on my child when they were burning up, I used my other thermometer under the arm that takes several minutes and my child had a temp of 103.6. I have tried this several times and still this one reads much lower. I have read, read and read the instructions and follow to a T and still the same results. Spend more money and get a more reliable one.
