3.0 out of 5 stars This conversion stroller is a great concept, but lacking in a few crucial key ...
By Jason on August 3, 2018
This conversion stroller is a great concept, but lacking in a few crucial key areas that make it much less convenient than other stroller brands in this class.

PROS:
- assembly was pretty easy with simple instructions
- frame is sturdy and materials are well made - it's a high quality metal frame
- generously sized seats fit kiddos comfortably
- telescoping handlebar accommodates different heights (as well as provides headroom if using the rider board)
- included, built-in rider board! This feature is actually what drew me to this stroller - many models offer a rider board, but it's an additional expense and takes away from the space your legs have to walk when pushing. This one is built in and still leaves plenty of leg room to push the stroller (when the handlebar is fully extended).
- fairly easy to slide it open to make space for a standing rider or second seat, and easy to collapse back down after
- brake mechanism is super easy to use and sandal friendly
- comes with parent cupholder, phone holder as well as a snack tray for the front seat - most strollers you have to buy separately
- front seat can face forward or backwards. - back seat only faces forward
- back seat attaches with no need for adapters - most models of this type of stroller have adapters that may get forgotten at home - this one the adapters are built in (they just snap up and snap down when not being used) so you always have them - very convenient to just bring your second seat with you in the car and be able to pop it on any time you want
- toddler seat converts to a completely flat bassinet with no additional accessories needed - great feature
- price: the price point of this stroller is great and much lower than other conversion strollers with similar features

CONS:
- plastic wheels - would be SO much easier to push and navigate with air-filled or even just rubber wheels. It pushes pretty easily on any flat/smooth surface like my hardwood floors (even with a full load) but once I got onto uneven asphalt, it was incredibly hard to push and turn. Pulled off onto grass and it was nearly impossible to turn and very difficult to push. Don't expect to be comfortable pushing this stroller for long-distance walks on uneven/uphill terrain.
- The recline on the stroller seats is sub-par. It only reclines about 15-20 degrees. Not enough to accommodate a sleeping older child
- the back child can't really see much at all. It's much easier to push if your heaviest child is on the bottom. Which means your older child, who probably is more happy when able to look out and see the world, won't be able to see anything.
- it's also very hard to get your back child in and out of the seat. My toddler can climb in and out of the seat himself just fine if he goes head first, but trying to lift him up and put him in (like you would to put them into a car seat/etc) he always bumps his head and it's super awkward.
- almost no basket storage use when using the second seat

WORST CON:
- the fold size is TERRIBLE. The first time I folded it, I couldn't believe how large it is. I'd barely even call it a fold at all. You have to take off the second seat to fold it - the seats themselves don't collapse at all, either. So you take off the back seat first. The mechanism to fold is actually super simple and can be done one-handed, which is nice. But basically all that happens is the handlebar collapses so it's more flat. The footprint is exactly the same. I like to keep my folded strollers in a hall closet by the front door - this stroller would literally take up the entire closet floor. See the photos of me holding it. It is extremely heavy and since it's so large, it's very awkward to carry. It also can't self-stand on the short side (lots of strollers will stand up on the handlebar side for storage... this one can only stand up on the long side). I can't imagine carrying this upstairs to an apartment - much less even just toting it out to the car and getting it in and out of the car. I've tested several stroller models of this type of conversion stroller (single to double conversion) and all of them fold much smaller for easier transport. This is a major flaw for me and actually makes the stroller extremely inconvenient for daily use - in and out of stores, etc.

Overall, after using two other conversion strollers of this type, I am quite unimpressed with this double conversion stroller. The great thing about this type of stroller is how convenient it is - especially when you add the infant seat, it's so easy to pop it out for quick appointments, etc. and have both kids safely buckled in. This one is HUGE and heavy, which makes it difficult to grab and take with you, or even difficult to just keep in the car because it's so big it will take up so much vehicle space - I'm not even sure if it would fit in the trunk of a smaller car. The recline makes it difficult for baby to sleep, and the back seat being lower than the front means your back child won't be able to see out. This is a great concept, but there are a lot of features that make this stroller "just okay" for me.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good but snack tray too far from child
By MelindaS on September 5, 2018
I really like this stroller however there are a couple things I would change. I really like how smooth the stroller is and it doesn't feel heavy when pushing like other larger strollers are, even with my son standing on the back. However I wish the seat reclined a little bit more without having to put it in bassinet mode. Also the snack tray is way too far from the seat! Even with my 5 year old sitting in the seat theres a huge gap between them and the tray.
