-The care instructions say that you should only air dry the sheet, but being the mom of a newborn, I needed the sheet dried faster than that so I threw it in the dryer - BIG MISTAKE. The underside has a slightly plastic-y lining to keep leaks from getting through and it kind of melted and ripped in the dryer. I learned my lesson and now I just hang them to dry even though that takes a while.
-Let's face it, you're going to end up washing these sheets a lot. So given that that's the case, they should hold up well after numerous washes. It was only about 3 weeks into using this when I noticed that the strings were already starting to break/fray on the edges (although maybe that was as a result of my earlier drying fiasco).
-The sheet is VERY soft and my son seems to love it! Like a true mom, this is really all that matters so I put up with the inconvenient care instructions and tenuous durability.
-Spit up and other liquids seem to kind of spread out on this, making them look like bigger messes than they are. They also leave a stain that looks like if you spilled water on silk or velvet or something, which makes them look unappealing and causes me to feel like I need to wash them more frequently than I probably have to. (My son's cotton sheets don't do this.)
All in all I guess I would recommend this sheet, but I would just caution that you pay close attention to the care instructions to avoid doing any damage.

I purchased this because we were taking a month long trip in which our little one would be sleeping in here exclusively, and for previous one and two night stints, we'd just used a regular sheet, or jerry-rigged a blanket and tucked it into the corners. BUT i didn't want to chance SIDS or create any kind of suffocation hazards for such a prolonged usage, so I decided it was best to find a sheet that would sort of pad the mattress a tad. I read the reviews and noted several people saying the material was cheap/flimsy/tore easily - so I knew going into it to be careful when washing and drying it. I've found with most baby items, I never use the dryer (not only because it shrinks everything & babies already grow out of everything so fast, but also the damage it does to the fabric.) So I washed on a delicate cycle and just let this air dry on the rack. So i personally have never had any issues with tearing or holes appearing....simply take care of your things. It is definitely not the highest quality material, but for the price you really can't complain - it fits, it looks great, and it has enough padding that your baby should be comfortable for a good nights sleep, and definitely those daytime naps! I was also delighted to see that you actually have enough room if you want to stuff a small blanket between the mattress and the fitted sheet just for additional padding and or warmth during the winter months - they're plenty of give and that way you get some extra cushion but still keep all fabrics contained and not sticking out for baby to choke on.
