I love HMPL and was excited to read up on what happened to Graham. This is a fun book, really gives a good feel for the time period that wasn’t all that long ago but is way different from our world now.

Was sad to hear that Graham has passed on. RIP.

Graham: The First Twenty is an exceptionally entertaining book chock full of entertaining drug addled road tales. I may not know Graham, but I KNOW Graham. Meaning I'm around the same age and I am a meatalhead, so I knew a ton of guys like him. However none of them were survivors like Graham. This guy is a true survivor in every sense of the word. The book, so entertaining I read it in two days. Graham takes the reader through tale after tale of partying, drugs, girls, and best of all SURVIVAL! I have a lot of respect for Graham because most people who were dealt his cards would not have survived, but he fought like hell and brought us a highly entertaining book so we can all read about it. Highly recommended!

This book is as profound as they come--it's a fascinating first person, gut-check narrative, a modern-day 'heart of darkness' journey that seems almost biblical at times. Graham may have been dealt a rough hand, but his triumph over stacked odds shows a resilience that is a true testament of his character. This is his life, in his own words, and it was particularly fascinating for me, because I've known the man for nearly 30 years, not personally, but on-screen as 'Gram of Dope' in my short documentary 'Heavy Metal Parking Lot.' Graham's auto-biography breathes life into another dimension, where he become a real person and not just the hard partying metalhead you meet in those 80 or so seconds on-screen. This book is a real accomplishment and one he should be very proud of. I know I am for him.

Ever wondered what happened to that kid from MTV's Heavy Metal Parking Lot? What about the neighborhood dope boy? You know the one everyone talks about but doesn't really know? Well this is his story. At least one of them. From Texas to Oregon, DC, to Maryland, Maine to Florida, and a lot of places in between. Graham lives a life of tragedy, drugs, girls, and of course heavy metal.
This was a great read from start to finish. At times I wasn't sure if I should be laughing or horrified. Either way, you can't help being draw in by Graham's story.

This was a quick and easy read. I couldn't put it down once I got started and I had really important things to be doing, but the stories were too good to stop. I would like to read part 2, the next twenty , if it ever comes out.
The editor of this book didn't proofread it very well, but it was still a good book.
