I spent hours trying to test the limits on them, and they relentlessly smashed their way through everything I threw at them. Rock, Pop, DnB, Hip-Hop, even Classical and Acoustic. Everything sounded fantastic. There are songs I've listened to for years, and with these headphones, I'm hearing parts I never knew existed.
All frequencies are extremely well-represented, and with unbelievable clarity. Even in tracks with intense bass, the highs and mids remain crystal clear.
The headphones themselves are well-built, yet nice and light. Other "premium" in-ear headphones I've used tend to be a bit on the heavy side and fall out during regular use. I've had these for about a month now, and I have yet to have that issue with these. The isolation they provide is great as well. The headphones come with 4 different sizes of tips, and finding the ones that give the best fit (a snug seal) is key.
My only regret is not getting them sooner. They're amazing, and I'd recommend them to anyone and everyone.
For $100, these are the ones to get, without question.
The only con so far is lack of an alligator clip! Come on guys, thrown one in. Most people don't use them anyway, but if you want to reduce noise from cable rubbing on fabric, use the clip! Luckily I have an old one to use.
Would be nice if the connector was L-shaped, but it's not their fault Apple started putting the jack on the bottom of the phone, so now I wish connectors were all L shaped.
Great sound, the remote is great, feels good in the ear, as long as they last, 5 stars easily!
Edit: After about 13 months, the glue on the the rubber insulation around the plug began to fail. Once the rubber cap on the plug had come completely loose, the static over the headphones made them unusable. Stars are for sound quality, but durability is definitely an issue.
The build quality is lacking a little bit to be honest. I like hte grey/walnut color combo Grain uses, but the cords Grain used for these headphones are rather small in diameter, and are round which means they will get tangled. I would have preferred they used a slightly beefier, rectangular cord so that they wouldn't get tangled. For the money I paid, I was hoping for a bit better build quality (the build quality of the OEHP's is fantastic, much better than the IEHP's IMO).
When it comes to audio performance, I was let down a little bit here too. The IEHP's are definitely able to deliver the bass notes, but when you start mixing bass in with your mid-tones, it can get a bit muddy. I didn't experience this at all with the OEHP's. The highs are pretty decent on the IEHP's, but again not up to the level of the OEHP's.
Overall, I was expecting a bit more from Grain Audio. I already own their PWS (bluetooth speaker), and loved that which is why I bought both their IEHP & OEHP when I was in the market for a new pair of headphones. The OEHP's didn't disappoint, but I felt the IEHP's are a bit lacking when you compare them to other products Grain Audio puts out, on both a build quality and audio performance front.
If I had one hundred dollars to spend on a set of ear buds, I likely wouldn't buy the IEHP's from Grain Audio. There are equivalent performing units out there on the market for a cheaper price, or better performing units for the same price. If you want to support Grain Audio and need a pair of headphones, I would highly suggest taking a look at their OEHP's, because they are truly fantastic.

To be honest, they sounded like $15 headphones. Super muddy bass, tinny highs.Read more
