About the Author

Mujahid Kamran joined the Punjab University, Lahore, as a graduate student in 1969 and became its Vice Chancellor in 2008. He has been teaching at the Punjab University since 1972, becoming professor in 1988. He served as Chairman Department of Physics from 1995 to 2001, and again from 2007 to 2008, and Dean Faculty of Science from 2004 to 2007. Kamran was a Fullbright Fellow at University of Georgia, USA, and professor of physics at King Saud University, Riyadh. Kamran was awarded the Abdus Salam Prize in 1985 and the President s Pride of Performance Award in 1999. In 2010, he was awarded the International Einstein Award for Scientific Achievement. His book Jadeed Tabiat Kay Bani won the National Book Council Award in 2000. For his extraordinary efforts in mentoring dozens of his students scholarships to study physics at leading American and European universities. Kamran was described as A Goldmine of Graduate Students by Professor T. Bolton of Kansas State University, USA

Mujahid Kamran, currently (2015) is the Vice Chancellor of Punjab University, Lahore, where he has been teaching physics since 1972. He was a Fullbright Fellow at University of Georgia, USA, druing 1988-89 and professor of physics at King Saud University, Riyadh, from 2001 to 2004.

Kamran has won numerous awards, including the Abdus Salam Prize (1985), the President's Pride of Performance Award (1999), International Einstein Award for Scientific Achievement (2010), for his outstanding contributions to research, teaching, and popularization of science. His book Jadeed Tabiyat Kay Bani won the National Book Council award in 2000.

The Grand Deception fills with reality the void of what can be seen living in mainstream America. We in the US desperately need to know how we're being bamboozled by the super rich that have taken control of our government and who wish to rule our lives. And to any knee-jerk naysayers who think I should just shut up and go watch reruns of The X Files, I'll tell you this: I researched Dr. Kamran's assertions thoroughly and every one checked out. This essential book should be required reading for anyone who votes.

As George Orwell perfectly stated, `during times of universal deceit, telling the truth becomes a revolutionary act.' This book tells the truth.

It is mainly based on well-known US sources, like Michael Ruppert. It is mostly a translation of short comments on very important world events and institutions (9/11, Pearl Harbor, assassination of J.F. Kennedy, Darfur, Iraq, Iran, secret and financial services) published by the author in a Pakistani newspaper.

A High Cabal
Nearly all power (power is an end, not a means - G. Orwell) in the Western World is in the hands of a tiny super wealthy oligarchy (A High Cabal - W. Churchill) which stays invisible behind the stage, but which controls national and international politics, national and international financial institutions (banks, IMF, World Bank, WTO), energy and mining companies, all major media, judicial authorities, secret services and the war machine. The ultimate goal is to protect its own interests and to enhance its power base.

Perpetual War
Wars are mostly fought for economic reasons in order to capture global resources (land, hard and soft commodities, oil and gas), thereby destroying the life and the liberties of the indigenous populations and creating an atmosphere of terror at home in order to keep the structure of a hierarchical society intact.
Wars are now fought with diabolical weapons made of depleted uranium. As the author, a university professor of theoretical physics, states, `burnt uranium will keep radiating for millions of years. If these radioactive particles enter your body (inhalation, contaminated water), then till your dying day and afterward they will keep on disrupting basic structures such as DNA. Not only does this radioactive debris kill people, it leads to defective births ... tons of radioactive debris lie scattered in various parts of Afghanistan and Iraq.'
The author gives also a very long list of foreign military interventions all over the world in the past 120 years.

One needs a strong stomach to digest this terrible verdict on human affairs.
It is a must read for all those who want to understand the world we live in.

Good addition to Zinn & Chomsky

Along the lines of Zinn, Chomsky, Ruppert (to whom the book is in part dedicated), Prouty, etc, a collection of rather short essays turned chapters have been compiled. A worthy read though I wish the author provided more direct footnoting and/or source references for his data at times. However, those who are familar with the other aforementioned authors will find most of the data redundant and/or unsurprising. It's not to say that nothing new will be learned. I find the book to be well written and very easy to read.

Lastly, I purchased this book through an independent book seller found on Amazon as Amazon was sold out indefinitely.
