My favorite GTA is vice city, hands down. 4 is fine but I never found myself getting immersed in the story. Basically just finished it to finish it. 5 was/is very aggravating to me at first until I got familiar with the controls but it still frustrates me at times. I like this one better than 4, the story is way bigger and found myself invested in Trevor especially. I have a weird love/hate relationship with this game. I'm very critical of it but also find myself playing it more days than not. I came way late to this game which is nice cause all the info you'd need is already on the Internet

Frustrating Installation process and an Unreliable Updating process

THE WORST thing EVER, my first install took abut 2hours to get through the 7 GTA disks, after doing this, there was a 60Mb download followed by a 500MB download and then a 8Gb download. I got past most of the updates and downloads UNTIL i reached the 8Gb download. About 3 Gbs got downloaded until it suddenly STOPPED. I kept getting an error code 207 , stating that Connection to Servers have been lost and it 'Reconnecting'.
I tried EVERYTHING, downloading patches, updated launchers and NOTHING worked. The download kept FAILING as it kept repeatedly reconnecting to the servers. After an entire night iw as exhausted. This was THE most horrible experience. over 12 hours and NOTHING worked. The next day, i uninstalled the game and re-installed it. I got started at 11AM and the 7disk install, the 500mb update , the 53mb update and the 8gb Updates FINALLY FINISHED at 1AM the following day, i.e it took almost 14 hours to finish an installation.
After all of this, i was very pleased and tired that i can FINALLY play the game, BUT i was WRONG, i then had to download another update 63Mb and a 2Gb update AGAIN. I left it and went to bed. The next morning , i had to install a Social CLub Launcher Update AGAIN , and was FINALLY able to play the game after almost 36 hours of 2 Installation procedures.

Fast forward 2 days, i had another update to install, about 500mb, i downloaded another launcher update for Social CLub, and was able to play the game. ( YOU CANNOT play the game unless you install the updates)
i was tehn able to play the game and ONE word AMAZING, a massive map to explore EVERYWHERE and EVERYTHING, its soo good , i spent ALL DAY AND NIGHT playing the game i wanted since it first came out. BUT this enjoyment was short lived,

Almost 1 week later, i CANNOT play the game WHY WHY WHY ???????????
Well because i HAVE to download another 1.7Gb update. Im getting the SAME 207 Error code, " COnnection to Server lost, and taht the Update Services are UNAVAILABLE"
I cannot play the game UNLESS i do teh 1.7Gb update AND i cannot do the Update because the Update servers are Unavailable.
This means no Update servers means NO Updates and NO Updates means i CANNOT play the game.

This is absurd, after buying the game and spending more than 36 hours for 2 attempts to install the game, i still CANNOT play the game. Ive been trying for teh past few days, (8 hours today) and the Update Service is STILL unavailable . Still cant update to play GTA V once more.

It really is an incridible game, soo much to do, had a fantastic time playing it , while it lasted. BUT it really does such to have to install soo many updates and being UNABLE to play the game , at least in offline mode , when the updates cannot install.

I would give it 0 Stars if i could because it is the MOST annoying and frustrating installation process BUT becasue of the few moments of joy i got from it, i decided to give it 3 stars.

How the original copy goes wrong. This is the first time I purchased an original game that has corrupted data in it. What a copier machine that they use it!!!
I bought this game due I only have a playable Laptop and I like GTA game ,specially San Andrease. After I saw the demo of this game it was very advanced version and compatible to my PC.In first setup, everything goes fine until insert DVD DL #5 that has data6.cab. It shows error message that CRC is not match and the data is corrupted. I ignore it and continue the installing. It shows an error message again after inserted DVD DL # 7 , the setup fail and delete by itself immediately !!!
I spent about an hour to install them and it delete by itself in seconds.
I was shocking about this thing. It's totally shame for this company to do like a cheap copy like cheap cloning Disc.
anyway, I found a team that helped me to download the package and complete the install.
I don't have gaming pc , I only have laptops and I test with 2 of them. One of them is convertable laptop powered by intel core i3-4030u with intel hd 4400 ,4 gb ram and ssd. I test this game on it and I found the problem with memory size , my graphic has 512mb and the game with everything in factory sitting is about 800mb. so, I can't change the sitting in the game due memory problem so, I change the sitting manually via sitting.xml file and set everyting at low even shadow. about the test it running choppy and can be reduced by minimize the resolution to 640x480. only one problem, inside the city . the hard drive starts swapping and completely busy. this make the controlling is very unplayable .3 seconds to response the controlling.
And I test this game with another laptop powered by amd apu a8-4500m with 7630g+7450m 1gb 8gb and hdd. I thought this game can running smoothly at mid sitting due it has dual graphic but,no. first time, I ran this game with dual graphic with factory sitting. i found the memory problem. the system has 1800MB graphic but the game require About 2400mb. It runs very choppy, the graphic is corrupt and the hard disk is busy.it is not playable. I heard that problem with dual graphic so, I ran this game with one graphic. it runs ok better than before. average about 20 fps even in 1366x768. the problems are, memory problem same as before and when the hard disk is start swapping the memory, the game running choppy like the game is not loading complete or like playing game on cd that is hard to read.

That's my first impression
in my conclusion, the game requires ssd for swpping, single gaming graphic card with high graphic memory. 4gb ram is ok unless running another application while playing

I bought this in disc form, rather than download, as with my internet connection, the downloads take forever. Was a biy angry after installing there was twice as much content to still download as 'update'. Haven't played it much though, as it may be easier using a playstation controller versus a keyboard.

El mejor juego que he comprado. Aquí les va un consejo, los 7 DVDS traen un error cuando los instalas por que no te deja conectar a Social Club. Pero el código de activación si sirve entonces, lo que debes de hacer es:
1.- Bajar el archivo "Luncher" de la página directa de Rockstar Games
2.- Te metes al engrane en la parte superior izquierda de configuración del Luncher.
3.- Pones el código de activación y lo activas. 4.-Una ves activado, bajas los 80 gb del juego online. No ocupes los DVDs por que no sirven. Solo ocupa el código de activación que viene en el sobre.
5.- Ya puedes jugarlo.

Esto funciona para Windows 10...

Muy buen juego la versión para PC con los mejores detalles en gráficos, sólo prepárense para un buen par de horas de instalación (despues de instalar los 7 dvd aún hay que descargar al rededor de 12 GB más... No sé si fueron actualizaciónes ya que no es muy claro al momento de abrir el Rockstar social club).

Tengo un buen PC (excede las recomendaciones) y aún así hay momentos en los que existen bajas de frames de hasta 20 fps aún no logro identificar si es alguna configuración o qué? ya que tengo los últimos drivers para mi tarjeta gráfica

Sobre el envío o se bueno pero lo hacen mediante sobre no en caja, el empaque de los discos se maltrata un poco pero ninguno llegó suelto.
