Great construction with the sleeved cable. These cables have been an integral component since expanding to liquid cooling for graphics cards/GPU's. Being able to control the liquid cooling pumps helps extend the life of the motors, and it allows the user to connect a multi-header cable to control all the fans along with the pump... all through the video card fan control. I have found MSI Afterburner works best for the applications I have used, although Catalyst Control Center and SpeenFan work as well.

Great for GPU fan mods--I used this cable (and a splitter) to hook up a pair of PWM 120mm fans to cool my GPU (Accelero Xtreme w/o fans), and since I could tap into the card's fan profile, I could tune a fan curve just as if I was using the stock cooler. Result: Passive cooling up to when I actually need it.

Worked great. I didn't use this for it's intended purpose, I actually nicked one of the wires on my 980ti while removing the shroud for paint and I was able to solder the GPU fan header from this on to the preexisting GPU fan wires and it works great.

Did exactly what it was supposed to do. I connected this a 4 into 1 fan adapter with independent power. I connected the lot directly to my GPU, allowing the GPU and software to control the fan speed automatically.

Cable worked as I hoped it would. Used it to control my EVGA 980ti radiator fans with the gpu temps. The only issue was that the ACX 2.0 cooler fans spun at a much higher rpm than the corsair af140 fans did, so at about 50% fan speed on precision X my new fans would be running at 100%. I just had to lower the fan curve to allow 50% to be 100% for the new fans and everything works great!

My Gigabyte fans were too loud even at idle within a year of use.
I switched to 2x92mm (slim 14mm) Noctuas, while plugging PWM Splitter (by SilverStone) to this Gelid solution.

It works GREAT and the quality seems very impressive (sleeved).

Contrary to its intended use, adapting GPU cooling fans to PWM fans, I used this in a Corsair AX860i Power supply. It's worth mentioning that the internal header for the stock fan is this exact connector, and for reasons I cannot determine. I attempted using this adapter to allow a Noctua NF-F12 fan to replace the now-defunct Yate Loon fan. It worked well in theory, but in practice it was dismal failure because the fan control unit in the actual power supply was the source of the problem. Nothing more exhilarating than learning you have wasted money. At least I have yet another oddball adapter lying around in the very unlikely event that I need it. I will say, though, that even though I ended up not needing it, this adapter comes sleeved in MDPC and is extremely robust. Those who are likely to use this for it intended purpose will be pleased.

I recently modded my video cards to use closed system watercooling but still wanted the fan speed controlled by the video card. These worked perfectly for my needs.
