When it stops working, blame the pen. There's a thing where the rotation of the tip of the pen gets slightly off and needs to be readjusted. you have to open the pen up and trial and error it.. ***only millimeters back and forth- don't break the little copper wire. **
better yet- just buy a backup pen.
at this price i expect things to need a little tweaking.. so 4 stars.
At least, for me it worked for about 5 months before the cheap connection cable gave out and there's no way to replace it.
Okay, that wasn't very objective. Let's just dive in to my list of problems with this:
For one thing, this is falsely advertised. The only "express keys" that work are the ones on the top row. I tried figuring out for weeks how to get the other ones to work, but I gave up. Having physical buttons to press that you can feel for are much better, so not only was it a design oversight, it didn't even actually work.
The pen requires batteries, which would be more inconvenient but for as long as I owned it I never once changed that batteries. The pen has a nice weight and feels solid, and I actually preferred it to the Wacom pen I have now because of the pen nibs. I go through Wacom pen nibs at a ridiculous rate, but I think I only ever changed the nibs for this one once or twice. This pen can take a beating, which as someone with a heavier hand I appreciate. However, it's not the most accurate. I found myself fighting with it more than it helping me most times. It might be due to the batteries, but sometimes lines would get a little shaky as well. I was never sure of the cause of this, and I am no longer in possession of nor do I ever desire to touch this thing again.
The tablet itself does feel kind of cheap, but you get what you pay for. It never really bothered me until the cheapness was reflected in the cable. Originally I thought the cable was actually pretty sturdy. It's quite thick and didn't seem like I would have problems with it. But then I started to notice that the rubber was getting a little flimsy, like when you get that classic turtleneck kind of thing around the end of an iPhone charger. I ignored it, but tried to be extra careful even more than I already was. Fast forward two months later and I had to wrestle constantly with the cable to get the tablet to stay connected for more than a few seconds. This could have been solved if the USB plug was detachable, but for some reason it's not, and that makes it impossible to replace. Another design flaw that cost me sixty bucks.
At the end of the day, maybe this is good as a two minute solution, but honestly you might as well save up the money for a Wacom Intuos Draw (CTL490DB) , which is only twenty dollars more and infinitely more well-made than this. Also, it comes in blue! X3
this tablet has made my drawing software so much more easer to work with and I
only got it on Tuesday, right after the package came in the I opened it downloaded the
tablet software and instantly I was able to start drawing using my own graphic software.
this tablet is really nice with a sleek design and smooth surface it's comfortable and easy store
and use, I found that Huion tablets are also good for when your on the go I take mine every ware
I go since my major is animation I do a lot of digital drawing as well as traditional 2d art work.
I highly recommend these tablets for any artist who is looking for good quality graphic tablet at
an affordable price.
The feel is sturdy and it works great. All the short cut keys around the tablet are nifty and convenient.
This tablet does sense pressure even at the slightest, so I recommend that you draw a bit lighter than you would.
The pen does its job, I'll give you that.
The feel varies depending on your preference but it's tolerable.
I like how it uses on AAA battery since I have the rechargeable ones.
Nonetheless, great buy for a good price! I would deff encourage you to buy this as a first entry tablet ^^
