You'd think by the title that this would be a book for moms, about moms, and by moms, and it is, but it's so much more than that. "The Gratitude Project: Celebrating Moms & Motherhood" touches everyone, because motherhood touches everyone. Becoming a mother makes you the mother of all children, and from that point on every wounded, abandoned, frightened child is yours. This feeling of pure, unbridled love comes shining through the pages of this book as each of the authors share, celebrate and bleed what it means to be a mother or loved by one.

Motherhood brings absolute joy, but it also brings exhaustion, boredom, and sorrow, too. Nothing else will ever make you as happy or as sad, as proud or as tired, because nothing is quite as hard as helping a person develop her own individuality, especially while you struggle to keep your own. The essays in this book are filled with the wisdom, strength and wonder of motherhood, and whether you are blessed to be a mom, a mother-to-be,a mother-in-law, a grandmother, a son or daughter, you will find yourself relating to many of the experiences shared in Moms and Motherhood.

It's the perfect Mother's Day gift. It's the perfect gift, period, and that includes making sure you give one to yourself, too!

I am inspired by THE GRATITUDE BOOK PROJECT: CELEBRATING MOMS & MOTHERHOOD and its heartwarming stories and tributes to mothers of all kinds. As other reviewers have pointed out, these entries are real reflections by real, every day people. I know, because mine entitled "My Mother's Gift" was selected and included on page 193.

My book order came last week, and I'm very pleased with the quality of the book and the entries I have perused. I had assumed it would be an ideal Mother's Day gift, and indeed it would. As I read the entries, however, I truly think it would be an especially wonderful gift for expectant mothers or new mothers. It would also be appreciated by someone who has been LIKE a mother to you.

The best part is that the proceeds from Amazon sales will all go to Women for Women International, an organization that provides women survivors of war, civil strife and other conflicts with the tools and resources to move from crisis and poverty to stability and self-sufficiency, thereby promoting viable civil societies.

It has been a privilege to participate in this project, and I hope others will enjoy and share it.

Sometimes it is hard to understand why a person feels it necessary to tell their story. These are stores that are easy to read, easy to connect to and they made a readers happy that someone cared enough to share their story. I think the variety of the stories makes it clear that the celebration of moms and motherhood is worldwide and a cause worth celebrating. I found the book a very easy read and one that I did not want to put down. My mother marked some of the pages to go back to read again.

This delightful collection of stories is a thoughtful gift for your mom and those other females in your life that have subbed-in as "Mom" from time-to-time or perhaps most of the time!

There's the "Reminder From God" story on Page 60 by Marcie Mandigo Jones about a change in perspective she received one day from her then 2-yr old son. There's the touching story of a daughter remembering the sentimental moments of a lifetime of love and caring by Linda Giangreco on Page 167. And there's my story of the first time my [oh-so-challenging] then 12 yr old step-daughter, said "I LOVE YOU" on Page 62.

Whatever page you turn to in this little gem of a book, your mouth will curve into a smile, your heart will open a little wider, and moms everywhere will be gratified by the reminder of the blessings they bring to the world!

This is the second book in the popular GRATITUDE BOOK PROJECT series and again it was a pleasure to read stories about everyday people like myself writing about things that may or may not be everyday events. This collection of stories are all written around the theme of motherhood and a perfect gift for mom, grandma or a soon to be mom on Mother's Day or other special occasion. I had a copy sent to my mom last week. After she received it she emailed me to thank me and said how inspiring it was to read. So often moms aren't appreciated for all they do - this is a testimonial to the world that life is indeed better because of those special bonds that are formed with our moms.

This is an awesome collection of stories by those who have experienced the art of motherhood. This book is a must read. I highly recommend this book and know that many people, men and women, would enjoy the blessing this book brings. It will touch your life. It is filled with priceless stories that will make you grateful to be a mother and appreciate motherhood. This book is also a reminder that we're not in it alone as mothers. Spread the gratitude and give this book as a Mother's Day gift, birthday gift or just because. I know the receiver will be truly "grateful."

Everywhere we look people are giving; clothes for the homeless, food for the hungry, money to find a cure, time for the heart felt purpose, and even birth to the innocent child. Yet so often the ones who have given so very much to us, become the forgotten few. This book gives emotional healing, thanks giving and daily encouragement to those who gave us our start in life. Sometimes, all we need is to reconnect with the one who helped make all the difference in the world. As a contributing author to 'Celebrating Moms & Motherhood' I highly recommend giving this book for any occasion.
