Another winner from Hunter Shea. This terrifying little short will keep you turning pages as the young heroine struggles to save a spirit in distress. Be warned that this tale is just the gateway drug to his new novel Sinister Entity, and it will also force you to buy his earlier Forest of Shadows.

I love to read suspeence and horror stories. And since I got a kindle fire I seem to be reading all the time. I think that the story was predictable. I do however like the main character. And the story line. The story was good enough to make me want to see what other adventures she would have next. And in all fairness, the teaser for the next book st the end seemed to be better. I would suggest that you give this author a try.

it is true I started this book expecting another bad ghost hunting story. What happened is I fell in love with the 19 year old ghost hunter, Jessica. She is wonderfully brave and persistent. Her loyal but scardie pants friend Angela provides a a perfect balance to the hunters. They, with a little help from overseas, have to get a ghost to stop haunting their own grave.

***SPOILER***

I have to say that how Jessica saves the ghost of a young wife from being further tortured by her recently deceased abusive husband is absolutely awesome.

nice job Hunter Shea! ~Gypsy Patti~

It's well written, has a nice plot. It's just me--I'm afraid I've outgrown loving to be scared to death. I can see this being a favorite for some people and at one time it would have been for me. I have lived in a house with a ghost--he wasn't Caspar, but he wasn't a threat either. Had to ask him to leave when my grandson noticed his pranks and he left nicely never to return. Of course they aren't all as cordial as mine. Hope yours aren't like the one in the book!!!

This was my first time reading a book from Hunter Shea and it was well worth reading. The only complaint I have is wanting the book to be longer as I enjoyed it so much.

The Graveyard Speaks is a quick introduction to one of my favorite EB fighters, Jessica Bakman.
She's a great character who sends EB's (or ghosts to us laymen) on their way, whether they like it or not.

Meredith Spooner's grave is being visited nightly. Screams can be heard into the night. When Jessica answers a call to look into the situation she comes face to face with more than she expects. Will her inherited skill be enough to take care of business?

The Graveyard Speaks is a quick and solid read. Worthy of your time. If you enjoy it, check out Sinister Entity or Island of the Forbidden.

Sorry Hunter, only the four stars. Would have been all five if only there were more chapters! You just wet our whistle and stopped. We, well me anyway, like to have the whole story in one sitting. The characters and plot were believable and fun, as if tripping around in a cemetery could be fun. You got a good hold on them, and use it well. I do plan on reading more of your books, and am hoping you won't stop at a critical moment telling me/us that that's it, no more. Poo, it's like (you) want the story to be finished by the reader. Might as well write me own book.

In general I liked this story. It makes more sense when you read the books that are related to it. Forest of Shadows and Sinister Entity give the background info for why Jessica can do these things. This story was a quick read. I felt like the ending was a little abrupt, but again, the two books that related to this story give an idea of why that might be. I read this as a free kindle download before I purchased and read the books.
