I love this story, Mia was not going to take "####" from anyone. That baby cub was her's to protect and claim, NO IFS, AND, OR BEARS ABOUT IT. She became a mama bear to that child after finding him scared in her pantry and the child frightened just hearing his uncle's voice. It didn't matter to her what kind of child it was, she would keep and protect him even if she had to go up against the law (human or bear). Growing up with a loving parent who was a werebear, Mia was raised to understand certain things about bear customs. One of them being children were loved and not abused, so because of what happened to the werecub, she was not letting anything else harm him. Along the way she hears the truth of what happened to her mother and how the other side of her family didn't claim her because of her being a "Half-bred Human", which they felt was nothing or beneath them. The wonderful thing about Ty the "Itan" was his bear wanted Mia as much as Ty did and nothing was stopping him from making her his "Itana" and keeping her with him. Thou they do seem to be interrupted everytime he tries to get private with her. This a fun filled, fighting for what's right, going after bad guys love story with a concerned were-daddy protecting his little girl as best as he can. Also it leads into the possibility of several books (here's wishing and hoping) about the brothers and maybe more with Mia's dad.

I don't think I have ever been disappointed with a Celia Kyle book. This is no exception. One of my favorite parts is I think this story is longer than her usual books--I always seem to want more when I finish them. Great characters. Super alpha hero--smart, sassy heroine. Secondary characters were highly entertaining too. Not a ton of intimate scenes, but what there was was very spicy. Great suspense part of the plot--I thought it was a little on the violent side, but not enough to take away from the enjoyment. I hope this is the start of a new series--I would love to read about the other brothers!

It all begins with a bear cub in the pantry.
Then we have Mia Baker, whose personality jumps out at you from get go. Her comment made me smile and laugh.
I really Need to share a few lines which I liked. Mia to Ty "Earlier you said he could stay and I'm pretty sure I've already said this once, but I'll repeat it for the slow people in the class and in a way that a bear can understand: mine". Another one " Mia huffed. Son of cracker jack." Or "aw, crap on a cracker." Also this one "Okay, she had to get her poop in a group".
Ok, have to give one more, Mia talking to Ty " Shh.. You can gut him later. With a dull knife. Won't that be fun. You can bathe in his blood and drag his body down the street. Entrails everywhere...". She is a fantastic character that I really enjoy reading about.
I can't forget about Ty, he is such a bear. He huffs, growls but he comes around for his Itana. It nice to see how he had to work to get his mate.
I have so much I want to say about this book BUT it would spoil it for everyone. This was a fascinating read, one that is worth reading again. I hope there will be more, we have some very fine brothers that need to find their mates.

Lion, tigers now bears oh my. Celia did it again with her amazing story of bear shifters. The Abrahm brothers are sweet and delicious. Eldest brother Ty is a real alpha (itan) with a heart and Kia is just woman enough to show him who's the boss.

Can't wait for Isaac, Van and Owen's stories; not to mention the other shifters introduced. Great book Celia.

Ok I love Celia Kyle's books but this was so disappointing. It felt like it was missing something that usually draws you in. Although I am looking forward to her next book in the Alpha Marked...I won't be getting the next book in this series.

I am not sure where to start this review. This book was bad on so many levels, it`s impossible to describe them all. I`ll try, though.

* The werebears (and wolves etc) are more animals than humans. This is sort of fine as long as one knows about it in advance. I did not and was disturbed by how casually they killed one another and how the fur constantly seemed to pour through the hero`s skin (yikes).
* The heroine was supposed to be "strong". You know, the kind of "strong" where the heroine constantly nags, sticks her nose in other peoples` business and keeps yapping when she should be quiet because she talks about things she knows nothing about.

* As annoying as the heroine was (and that was a lot) I was still annoyed with the disrespect she was met with. The worst was when she was drugged without knowing it just because the hero decided she couldn`t handle what they were talking about. He also held his hand over her mouth to keep her from talking and even if she did talk a lot and completely out of place, that was just disrespectful.

* The hero was incredibly boring and not hot at all. He fell in love with the heroine the moment he saw her and apparently loved her curves but he seemed to dislike her personality because he kept trying to suppress it. Yes, she did have an annoying personality but really??! If you`re so in love with her, you should love her as a person, not just her curves.

* The "love" between the hero and the heroine was just not believable, not even in the context of fated mates. Even though they proclaimed love for one another, they clearly didn`t like each other and that`s just sad.

* Books like this can sometimes redeem themselves by being hot. Unfortunately this book wasn`t hot either.
