Loving it more and more after 4 or 5 listens. The songwriting and arrangements are complex, but memorable. It's kind of a mix of prog rock with indie rock, if that makes any sense. What will limit this band's success is the lack of an instantly sing-able single(depending on your idea of success).

The 3 musicians here are obviously accomplished, and experienced. The guitar/keys weave in an out subtly, occasionally letting loose for some killer guitar solos. The drumming, as always with Jimmy C, perfectly supports the music and drives each song to it's next destination. Some chops, some restraint. That's the best thing about Skysaw. Each member knows when to hold back, and when to let loose in the context of a song. Most musicians never figure this out, so it's refreshing to hear 3 guys who know how to practice restraint.

This is a fantastic collection of refreshing songs that combine many sounds/influences heard before and something new. The singer has a unique voice that at times sounds like Rob Crow from Pinback and David Bowie. The backbone of the music is crisp drumming from Jimmy Chamberlain who brings much of the sounds from his days with Smashing Pumpkins. Highlights are Great Civilizations (tribute to New Order?), Am I second (Jimmy borrowed some of his brilliant drumming from "Tonight, Tonight"), Serrated, Capsized Jacknifed Crisis. Give it a few listens, guaranteed to grow on you.
