Excellent Book - Dr. Happer Won the Debate -- Hands Down!
Dr. Happer is a Distinguished Professor, Scientist and CO2-Expert who has a deep understanding of Science, Physics, Chemistry (especially CO2) and the Earth's Atmosphere and Climate.

He clearly understands that there is actually NO Man-Made Due to CO2 Global Threat, No Significant Warming for the last 25 years and that the Earth's Temperatures are "Insensitive" to Changes in CO2 Emissions and that there has Never been Any Correlation, much less Any Causation, of Global Warming (or even Global Cooling for that matter) in the last 570 million years!

Dr. Happer demonstrates that there is actually no imminent Global Warming Threat -- Just Naturally-Driven Climate Change.

The other side of the debate did not have a chance since they have absolutely no viable facts to support their AGW (Anthropocentric Global Warming Theory) which depends on significant CO2 Infrared-Warming as a part of the Greenhouse Effect when CO2-concentration is a mere 4% of all Greenhouse Gases (GHGs) and Water-Vapor (H2O in a gaseous state) is 95% and produces more GHG-warming effect & Clouds than Trace CO2 and the Remaining 1% of GHGs (i.e., Methane CH4 or "Cow Farts" and Nitrous Oxide N2O) which is 75-85% of the Greenhouse Effect by Water Vapor vs. trace CO2 of ~ 9% or a bit more.

Karoly ended up "Punting" by dropping out and his surrogate was destroyed in the end by the Truth presented by Dr. Happer!

Climate modelers and those focusing on calculated data and earth history come to very different conclusions about future risks of over-warming. Modelers see climate sensitivity ( temperature rise for doubling of CO2) as 3degreesC +/- 1.5C; the opposition see 1degreeC +/-0.5C. These are drastically different results from highly competent groups of researchers. Recent world wide rates of warming average 0.14 deg C/decade----while the largely oceanic southern hemisphere is warming at only 0.11 deg C/decade.
There is something amiss when government and private enterprise are spending massively each year to correct a very slight problem-----and it's mostly financed by all of us as tax payers.

This book allows a layman to have some understanding of the debate over AGW/climate change. Two professors discuss both sides of each major element of the issues and the author writes in such a way as to make the debate accessible. Frankly, the most scientifically credible arguments were put forward by Professor Happer, a world class physicist, and Professor Karoly did not respond to the same standard. Perhaps he realised this, which might explain why he dropped out and was replaced. If you are committed to the climate change thesis, you might find this book distressing, as the scientific bases for your beliefs are thoroughly examined and found wanting. For others with a more open mind, i.e. those who wish to follow the scientific method, this book would be a treat.
